Visitors encouraged to wash with soup before entering a Reykjavík swimming pool

Strange Iceland

After a bizarre and pleasantly whimsical mistake in the design of a new sign, the Laugardalslaug public swimming pool posted signs on the walls of its bathing areas, encouraging guests to thoroughly wash their bodies with soup before entering the pool.

With no accounts of actual soup-washing having been reported, Laugardalslaug representatives have acknowledged the mistake and are currently replacing the signs with ones that encourage washing with soap.
