Icerental 4x4 in Iceland

This car was not available and instead I was given a Suburu. The car was satisfactory but nothing special.

The car was great for all weather conditions. Service at the rental station was great too. We had to wait a bit for the Pick up service. And the lady who drove us was very unfriendly.

All is good but with smile all is perfect 😔 After we check out your car in your company one week before you say me you drive me in my hotel inkeyflawik ( 3 km) but you don’t want only for the airport and you tell : walk without smile 😳

The car we have rented for six people met our expectations. Low price for such a huge car. It is an old car but that gave us also a lot of fun.

D’un point de vue général mais aussi et surtout en relation avec notre expérience, je recommanderais cette agence . Ils viennent vous chercher a l’aéroport et vous ramène ( pas de temps ou très peu entre les navettes ) . En revanche en ce qui concerne l’aspect général des chose et les retours que j’ai pu entendre des français dans la file d’attente de l’aéroport pour rentrer en France la plupart d’entre eux ont eu de mauvaises surprises . Une famille s’est retrouvé avec une facture de +1000€ pour un mini impact sur le pare-brise alors qu’il était déjà présent a leur arrivée . Deux autres jeunes couples n’avaient pas pris d’assurance pour les gravillons et ont dû payer 200€ supplémentaires . Sans parler du système de parking islandais assez particulier .. il est assez facile d’avoir quelques petites amendes à régler lorsque vous rendez les clés . Mes conseils : - faites bien le tour du véhicule quand vous le prenez . Nous sommes arrivées a 2 h du matin sous la pluie, le vent et -3 degrés . Personne n’a fait le tour avec nous . Mais à notre retour ils avaient la lampe torche et testaient tout : direction , boutons etc … - n’hésitez pas à louer un routeur WIFI . Très utile au moins au début .

To small for our needs, but it was just a car for the day and we did not have to go very far away. Very simple car, with tons of plastics inside but comfortable in its way. Quite dented, scratched and damaged overall, but we really dont' care about it.

Hello, the deal by north bound was great! The car was good as well. The pick up went smoothly and the drop off as well. The colleagues at the drop off were a bit rude (Icerental 4x4) - but maybe because it was 4:00 in the morning :-) We would definitely consider going for northbound again in case we travel to Iceland! Thank you

Hi, it was a good experience whit a good car

Great customer service! The car was fine. We had a rooftoptent. The tent was fun but we went in late september. It can handle the hard winds just fine, but the rain can be a problem. We had some problems with or matress getting wet after it rained at night and we packed in or tent. Conclusion: great company, rooftent best in Summer season.

Overall experience was good, we did not have a 2018 Hundai Tucson, we had a Honda not sure of the year that had a check engine light on and a definite shake in the transmition at 1500rpm. But it got us where we needed to go.

It's a quite basic car inside and under the hood, but it was a reasonable price so it was fair value for money. The engine is underpowered but, given the low speed limits in Iceland, it was only tested on hills so we just changed down a gear or two and it was fine. The car was very clean, and had an excellent spare tyre which we had to put to good use so were very grateful for. There wasn't anyone to meet us at the airport, so we had to call for our ride which was a little frustrating at the time, but the return process and subsequent transport to the airport were very speedy by contrast.

Very well. We lost license plate, although I cannot be sure whether the plate was fastened tightly before the journey.

Our camper was clean, well-serviced and fun to drive once we figured out the reverse. Would be nice to have some directions in English! But we loved it and we had a lot of fun. We would have appreciated being able to contact Ice Rental when we were late. I realize that they were busy,but we were concerned that our rental would be given away.

Everything OK, reliable Car but quite used with 200k+ km. Unfortunately consumes a lot of fuel. Nice people at the Rental place

The car was older and had more wear and tear than expected but did the job well and we cannot complain. It would help to have been more clear about the tunnel toll in Akureyri which we got fined for 3 times as we did not know where the toll was supposed to be paid and we assumed it was an automatic system linked to the car licence / some magnetic strip that we would pay for at the end.

The Box between the front seats only make noise, and it's not good for anything. The back windows wiper blade doesn't work, it only makes two stripes on the window, the window washer for the back window also doesn't work. Otherwise the car drove us about 3.600 kms without any surprises and so everything is ok. Klaus

The car was similar but not a Hyundai Tucson but it worked. It was a Honda CR-V with 168.000 km A lot of damages were already existing, when we took over the car. The checkout was without problems. Take a photo or video before start.

Good experience. Thé suzuki grand Vitara (2011) was old but rent like that so not a surprise. Not new but on the island roads it s à good thing because you are not stressed by the gravel from the other car. V6 motor (sp95/98), powerfull but too much gourmand.

Best prices I found online. Good transfer to/from airport. The car was not on perfect conditions (one light broken) neither the camping material (seats broken and useless table). They could also improve customer service.

It did the job, but it wasn't 100% reliable – once the engine took a few minutes to start on the 1st day, and it was a tad scary, but there were no issues afterwards.

The Jimny was great for short trips not exceeding 60km/h. Around 80km/h the steering wheel would start to shake and the Jimny became wobbly over the road. Roof tent was excellent, easy to use and setup was a matter of seconds. We chose for the additional kitchen box. The two gas canisters provided were empty so we didn't make use of the cooker.
