Lagoon Car Rental in Iceland

Everything was perfect. We were met at the airport within minutes of arriving, and driven the short distance to the Lagoon base. The car (4x4 Dacia Duster) was excellent, and easily accommodated the four of us plus luggage. Although we had to drop off the car for our return flight at 5.30 am, there were no problems and again we were taken to the airport with no wait at all.

I recently traveled to Iceland with my family and used Lagoon Car Rental. The experience was excellent. The driver was waiting for us at the airport and took us to the off-site location. Small problem was that he didn't have enough room in his van to pick my family as well as the other people that were traveling. Some members of my family had to remain behind and get picked up later. Certainly up front planning could have prevented this. The check in process and return process was efficient. As they didn't have the car I reserved, they gave me a larger car, which is fine, until I realized later that the gas prices were $10 a gallon, which made have the larger car more of a financial liability. They could have offset this by reducing the price of the car to match the higher fuel usage. These are small things that a growing company needs to understand to become more successful in the future.

Decent greeting, not too difficult to locate shuttle driver even though we were delayed getting our bags at baggage claim. Not particularly friendly reception - no info offered about driving in Iceland, such as about right-hand turns on red lights and the frequent seeding cameras you encounter on major routes. The driver'a seat was missing an arm rest - major pain we only discovered after leaving the agency. Too much hassle to go back, once we were on the road. Should have been caught by employees checking the car back in after prior rental??

The woman that rented the car to us was super great. My only suggestions would be to print a one page handout that indicated the meaning of signs and lines found on the roads. We were able to figure out most of them, a few we never did understand. Would definitely rent from you again based upon the great service we received.

Overall process was great, someone met us at the airport and took us to the office to pick up the car. the only problem we had was the front 2 tires were eroded and had to be replaced during mid trip, luckily we were in a big city and it only took 30 minutes to get everything done. Lagoon car rental said they would reimburse us for the 2 tires that were replaced. outside of that car was great

We had a great experience with Lagoon. Everything was quick and efficient and the staff was friendly. The car was as described and did very well driving all around. The only challenge was the windshield wipers. They were fairly old and needed replacing, making driving on the highways in the rain a little nerve racking. Otherwise, it was a great experience!

We actually ended up with a Subaru Outback which turned out well! I guess it's in the same class but it was a good car. Lagoon were good to deal with and no problems with pickup or dropoff. Northbound service was amazing and so was the live chat and support I received. I am a photographer and had tried to get Lagoon to perhaps do a trade for photos for a discount but they never replied. Liam from Northbound however tried for me and I was very impressed. We actually stayed an extra week and hired a camper but unfortunately the pricing and allocation wasn't as good on Northbound for that rental. However I definitely will look to you first when we visit Iceland again! Are you thinking of expanding elsewhere in the world? Thanks! In general it was fine. I was impressed with the booking and support from northbound. Lagoon were OK, a little unhelpful at the beginning when the car wouldn't start and it turned out there was no wheel brace with the spare wheel kit. However the car performed excellently and the hand back was problem free.

It may seem odd to write a review for a rental company, but this group absolutely made my trip! Everyone was extremely helpful and kind. They gave me game-changing travel tips and free espresso. I will 100% insist that my friends use this company because of the service I received. I already miss my campervan. At the risk of overhyping a rental car company I can say as an absolute fact that the van + tips made the trip the best of my life.

Everything was fine. Very good car. Everything went smoothly. A bit strange that you have to check the car all by yourself. Easy to miss a dent or scratch!

I was happy with the customer service, but not the car. They gave us a beat up car that was clearly in an accident and we paid full price for it. I would not recommend you guys at this point.

We had a very positive experience, the shuttle service was greatly appreciated and very timely. The car was in good condition and the employees who helped us were kind, friendly and gave good advice for our trip. Would definitely rent with northbound again.

The service was excellent. the car was great. The tent included in the car had some flaws. the cover is not enough to maintain the inside of the tent wet free. when we were driving the rain managed to come inside the tent and wet the mattress. this could be solved if there was some sort of plastic protection in the hinges in the tent's floor.

Very good, all around a great experience. Pickup was on time, check in folks were helpful and patient.

The car worked fine and we had the space we were looking for. Our only issue was that the driver was not there when we arrived to the airport and it was a bit confusing as to what to do. Finally showed up after 10 mins (our flight was on time). Wasn't a problem but had to ask several people to find out what to do. Checking back in was super easy and a ride was waiting. Thanking

Most of the time we was fine. One day our car was broken and we had to go to a work shop. It wasn't nice.
