The car went well and easy to handle. The pick up and drop off was quick. But we are not happy with the GPS. We couldn’t find the places we wanted to go. It always said no result was found. We asked for the refund but was rejected. I strongly feel that I shouldn’t pay for something that didn’t work.

We have received a standard category service from Lagoon. The car was in good condition and the procedure was fast. We haven't had any problems, so I don't know if the attention would have been good. I must make an observation: I do not understand the reason why the cost of renting a standard roof box is 430 euros, when you can buy it in a store for less than 100 euros. It seems abusive.

I did not Get a KIA, but I GOT a similar car. When I GOT the car everything was good and got a lot of help. The driving from airport to the car rental was okey. When we were going to give back the car, we had to wait a lot.

I would suggest to improve the pick up from the airport I had to wait for your employee more than 1 hour and I had to call your company twice whitout receving updates.

Pick-up staff was not very friendly. Felt pressured to take more insurance packages One tire had a tiny hole that was not reported by the previous renter and was not noticed by you when renting it to us Car itself was ok, some minor scratches, but good value for your money Staff at the return-point was friendly and helpful

When we arrived at the airport “Blue Lagoon cat hire” were not aware of our arrival. Albeit I produced the paperwork indicating the change of address for the vehicle pickup the representative at the airport was rude. However they did transport us to the Blue Lagoon car hire place near the airport. We were asked to inspect the car in darkness with no initial lighting. We had to ask for the vehicle to be move from the storage area so we could carry out the inspection. Overall experience was not great.

When picking up the car I noticed immediately it had a low tire. The person at Lagoon rental disagreed, even though the car was indicating it. He said it was because it just had winter tires put on but if I insisted would put air in the tire. We struggled with this low tire our entire trip, including having to add air 2 times each day (at least!). This is super disappointing because they moved the car in the lot and didn't say anything to us. I had to point it out. When returning the car I was met with what I would call poor and rude service. Maybe this is an Icelandic thing, but I would expect them to ask how the car was and if we had any issues. Additionally, the car seats we rented and were given were poor at best. I can't believe that's the European standard, we would've been better off bringing our own. Overall I would never recommend or rent from Lagoon Car Rental again.

We got a Dustia Duster with a flat tire that has been Repair with pins. It wasn't safe and the owner of our cabin saw that and connected you so you'll change our jeep to another one. It wasted our time so our experience wasn't that nice. We paid our best money and didn't expected to get a jeep in this condition. Beyond that the shuttle was good and everyone were very nice.

The car was fantastic, great car. But....we got the car with a very bad smell ..maybe dog urine or similar. We did not notice because it might have been vented but we had to keep venting the car for days, This really was not good at all. The car was not completely clean when we got it, looks that they were in a hurry to get it ready for us. A clean and not smelly car would have made all the difference.

The car was in poor condition for a vehicle supposedly less than 2 years old. The body work had very many scratches and chips with a crack on the front spoiler which we had to point out on collection. The seats in the car showed a great deal of wear ( much worse than my 9 year old car with135000 miles on the clock!) they had to be cleaned again before we took the car as they were muddy, The car itself performed well but we were left feeling dissatisfied as in all the years we have rented cars we have never been given one in such poor condition. When the condition of the car was pointed out the staff member didn’t seem to be bothered, not even apologising for the state of the seats

It was ok. We were the last people waiting in arrivals for our shuttle bus - about 40 mins - had to phone them. Driver seemed a bit unfriendly. Paperwork efficient but no maps of Iceland available - not great for a car hire company. Car was ok - bit bashed and first gear a bit sticky. Staff at drop off were nice and friendly.

Overall everything was fine. Fast service and car performed well also. Only and rather large issue i have is that the customer service couldve also added that we should take pictures from the car and and be veeery thurough of when we look the car (and should do it while being inside). Because when we started to drive we noticed a little dent or damage in the windscreen (front window) of the car. Altho our trip went very calmly and no stones or similar were flying in our way I (i feel it was a mistake) felt obliged to still point out that there is this small damage on the screen (it wouldve been unnoticed this time also if i had not point that out especially). THANK GOD i had gravel protection, but the 100 euros were still felt, because it was not a fault of our own and et really toned down the renting experience witch otherwise wouldve been nice.

My experience with Lagoon Car Rental was mainly positive - the car was clean and in good condition. The only negative was that when we arrived at the office we were told that we would need to pay 85.000 ISK as a deposit because I didn’t have a credit card (I only have a debit card) I was also told that I would need to pay around £250 extra for an additional insurance policy. Although this may have been stated on the website, it wasn’t made clear. Even if he prices may be higher, it is better to be upfront and honest than to mislead or hide information from the customer. Another customer in the office at the same time as me had the same issue so it’s clearly not an isolated case.

The car was ok, but some service light or indicators were on even if the car was in good shape, so it was not very trustworthy. Other than that the car was perfect. We tried to cancel one of the services (mobile wifi) but it was not possible. I would hace liked more flexibility, as you do can add services but not cancel them. Also, i asked for my invoice and i still cannot get it, this is very frustrating. The offices are very far from downtown, and there was no transportation, so it was a bit of trouble getting there.

First it was not a car, like in the contract, it was not from 2017 it was not really clean an it smelled from oil when he was warm. The light from the wheel-preasure was lightning, but the employee said, it's all ok. One day later the wheel was flat. He said, after wheel-change we should drive to Akureyri to change the wheel, but in this 200 km the car brooke down completlty. We stood about 3 hours in the rain, while the customer-servive at the phone said, in about 1 hour an mechanican will come. When the mechanican arrived, he was very helpful and another man from a guesthouse drove us to our accomodation. The new car came the next day at about 10:00 am, and the assitent from the company was also very helpful and nice. With this car than we had nomore problems and the rest of the journey was really nice. But it's a shame that we lost one day of our journey. Never the less island is a great place!!!

We didn't get the Hyundai we were expecting. Instead we got a Kia. I didn't like it much. It had little power on the infrequent hills we encountered and the fuel economy, for a car of its size, was terrible. Also, on a couple of windy days, the car felt quite unstable and buffeted a lot by the wind - we felt unsafe in this car. I would have much preferred the Hyundai. Apparently Lagoon had some issues and the Hyundai hadn't been cleaned in time. Having said that, Lagoon sent someone to our hotel to pick us up which was very helpful.

The car was fine and worked well for our trip. However, the staff at Lagoon were not very friendly or helpful when we picked up the vehicle. We rented a car seat for our son and there was no instruction manual provided. The staff had no knowledge how to install the seat and when I asked for some help, I got a rather smart ass response ('you put the baby in it'). When I finally got someone to come out to the car to help, they went about installing the car seat incorrectly. The manufacturers label on the side of the seat clearly indicated that the method of install depended on the weight of the child but the person assisting us did not seem to think that was an issue and installed the seat forward facing instead of rear facing. We asked for another car seat, and there was only one available that was too small for our son (it was for newborns). Rather than offering to fix the situation, we were left to figure it out on our own. American and European countries (including Iceland) have different laws governing child seats. We relied on the rental company to provide us with a safe, functional, and reliable car seat for our trip - after all that was what we paid for - but we should have just flown with our own and risked getting in trouble for not having a 'legal' car seat since at least then we would have known our son would be safer in the event of an accident. I was disappointed that the Lagoon staff didn't appear to have any concern for our predicament. Had i not already paid for a large percentage of the rental, i would have used an international rental company instead.
