Lotus Car Rental in Iceland

Everything was perfect, I would defenetely book again!

The car was almost new. It had only run about 700km. When we had a problem with the electrical system, we got help very quickly. A mechanic from nearby Höfn came to Jökulsárlón lagoon to check the car. We were able to continue our 14 day trip without any further problems. The car was very comfortable and reliable and got us safely to our destination even on a few F-roads. The car and the service by Lotus were very good.

This was probably the best rent I ever did. No hassle at check-in pick-up and a very smooth check out after returning the car. as a service wifi was provided. friendly staff and swift pick up by them at the airport as well as transfer back to the airport. The car was excellent as well.

It's a trusty 4WD car plus the roof tent which made it the perfect adventuring vehicle for my trip through breathtakingly beautiful Iceland.

Top service! Shuttle from and to the airport went smooth, pickup of the car was quick and professional. Car was clean and in good condition. We had a flat tyre during our trip, but after a phonecall with Lotus, they arranged a tyre replacement in the nearest city. We didn't have to pay for it, since it was covered by our 'full coverage insurance'.

Very good car, fast service by pick-up and drop off and friendly desk managers. We only missed some information about battery charging that could make our trip more environment friendly. We definitly will choose Northbound again on Iceland.

I would do it again and recommend it! a negative note: upon arrival at the airport there was no staff waiting for me and I had to call (they arrived very kindly and very quickly) a positive note: due to credit card theft I had warned I would have a prepaid card, they had already found the solution in the days before my arrival, but then at the time of the transaction for a further problem with the credit limit of the card they were extremely willing to find a solution!

Since we also drove on F-roads, the Duster was the perfect car for Iceland.

Fueltank is very small, because it was a hybrid.

It ran very well. the car was clean. comfortable to drive. :)

The 4x4 car was very good every thing was perfect! We had super fun. The people at Lotus were very helpful!

Overall very good. My one main complaint is the absence of an instruction manual for the car in English. Ours was in German. In USA most cars have automatic light settings and we assumed (wrongly) that a light button with an A was such. We didn’t realize our headlights were not on because of how bright it is all the time. We got an expensive police ticket for driving with lights off, when we thought we had them on. Not a fun souvenir! Even a 1-2 page English directions for the main controls, including lights, would have been very helpful.

I liked it very much. It offered enough space and was perfect for the (also gravel) roads I chose to drive. I liked the agility of the car as well.

Everything was ok. Fast pick-up, drop-off and shuttle to/from airport. Mirror and front window was that dirty, that I had to clean it before driving with sunlight was possible. The profile of the tires do not fit to a 4x4 car and reduces this functionality dramatically.

I found only one small issue - I got a gas stowe with extra gas but both of them were empty after 4 days. Besides splendid! Car was wery fine for this trip. Roof tent survived really bad weather :)
