MYCAR in Iceland

The car was perfect for what we needed. It was my friend's first time going to Iceland and we weren't going to venture into the highlands, so this car was great for zipping around the Ring Road.

I liked it a lot since it was fuel efficient and new.

The 2022 Toyota Yaris Hybrid Automatic from MYCAR was perfect for all our trip, we've gone all around Iceland, following mainly the road 1, but it's also perfectly great on the few unpaved roads we had to take. Of course it's not a 4x4 so you can't take F-roads but you don't need it at all if you discover Iceland for the first time. It's fully equiped (lane centering assist, steering wheel assist, everything for your phone connexion,...), so you are really comfortable when you drive and you can enjoy the beautiful landscape more easily. The Mycar and Northbound support services were also very nice : we had to change twice the drop off date, they've done it right away (it took less than 5 hours each time) and they refunded us immediately. The Mycar team was also very nice concerning the hour of the drop off (we took the car in Keflavik and dropped it off in Reykjavik), they let us drop the key back in their mail box at the hour we wanted because we wanted to go to blue lagoon the last evening, and they didn't charge us anything more because of it. Everything was perfect so we warmly recommend Northbound and Mycar rental for your trip, it's really nice to have a rental experience that went well.

The vehicle was great and the process was good. One employee did nothing wrong but did not give off vibes that he wanted to provide a service for the customer or that "Mycar" and the customer were not on the same side but advesaries. He was very matter of fact on everything. When he inspected the car, it was like we had done something wrong and he wanted to catch us having done something to the car. Which there was no damage to the car whatsoever. We returned the car about 45 minutes early with a full van. He stated that we would have to wait the full 45 minutes before he transported us to the airport. That was his schedule and he wasn't changing from it. Luckily a lady that worked for MyCars volunteered to take us to the airport since we had a full car anyway and there was no reason to wait. She was very service oriented which was appreciated. The value for the car was great however and overall glad that i rented from MyCar.

The perfect car for travelling across the country without any problems. This vehicle allowed us to travel with peace of mind, because we knew that the fords were within our reach. The car is fairly new and very comfortable. We would have liked to have had an integrated GPS (as the one we took as an option was not up to date).

I was picked up by a very nice employee at KEF airport and then got my car very quickly. The Toyota Yaris was perfect for my tour in the south. Very economical and good to drive. The drop off of the car in Reykjavik went also smoothly. The only thing I could complain about is the price which was very high because of the increased demand due to the volcano eruption some weeks earlier.

It worked great and it was very clean!
