Car Rentals in Iceland

We had a perfect, very capable, 4x4 car without the unnecessary f-road restrictions some other rental companies impose. The vehicle was exactly what we expected. The short shuttle from and back to KEF was easy and convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful, and did not try to oversell unnecessary insurance, etc. We would definitely rent with Lagoon again.

We, 5 girl friends, chose northbound after reviewing various rentals. The price was reasonable even after choosing full coverage. Customer service was very good. We were, however, a bit surprised at the size of 4x4.... we had been told that storage could easily hold luggage for 5. It was cramped. The vehicle also had, from day one, a clanging noise. Overall, the vehicle did its job at getting us around the country.

No problems. Great pricing and no unexpected hidden fees. Easy pick up and drop off at airport.

Everything was as expected, and we had no problem on the road with the car.

It was a great little car. Felt like we were the smallest car in the country but it performed great and we would rent it again.

Great customer service, clean and reliable vehicle.

The staff were busy on pickup and could have taken longer to explain things about the camper and how things worked. On the journey we discovered that there was no wrench to change the tire which we thought we would need as the warning indicator went off. Fortunately we were able to limp into town to get the tire fixed. We also found there was no curtain for the back window which meant we had lighter nights than we should but it wasn't really a problem. The camper also had three summer tires and one winter tire and it snowed on the last weekend. Overall a bit of attention to detail was lacking. The staff were very good on drop-off paid for the wrench and gave us half a day discount for the inconvenience.

They were great!! A little disappointment for deducing €2700 as a deposit for damage waiver but rest went really well.

It was great on all roads. The bed was very comfortable. The back door(due to previous damage) stuck closed or wouldn’t close at times. Overall, no major issues.

The Dacia Dokker Camper was very nice and comfortable. The price-performance ratio was perfect and the Equipment too. The last three days were very cold and wet. Sadly we had no oportunity to dry our clothes. Maybe some lines in the back of the car are a good solution for this trouble. All in all it was a great experience and we were very spontanious with the car. Thank you very much that you made our journey in Iceland possible.

Booking and returning the car, the people dealing with this process were very professional. The car was fine too and seemed well maintained. However the top tent has some mold in it, this was due to a hole in the underside of the tent box. One night I went to go to bed and the mattress was significantly wet on one side. This was disappointing.

The car was working properly, only thing to mention is, that there was quite a lot of mold inside the roof tent as we got the car.

The car did hold up well during the whole trip. Getting the car and returning were easy. My emails were promptly answered, I had a nice trip.

Everything went smooth

My general experience was mediocre - I found the pick-up and drop-off cumbersome and the vehicle was in poor condition. It ran fine and the seat heater was nice, but it was dirtier than I would expect and I had a light go out during the rental period.

The experience with Go Campers was good but the camper itself wasn’t insulated so lots of water would accumulate on the roof and drip on us. I would recommend renting this camper in summer but not the winter.

When we arrived to KEF we had to wait around 25 minutes at the airport, i sent an email and got a response in like 2 minutes, they were really kind and fast. When we signed the contract they were really helpful, they explained everything to us and asked us to be careful with things we had never thought of, such as animals. The car worked perfect and had almost no defect but we still took pictures at the beginning. We only had one day with heavy rain and as we are not used to it we were a bit worried but the car worked perfect and we had 0 problems. At the end we filled the tank at a nearby gas station and they didnt charged us any extra money.

Experience was great. Quick and simple. Car was inexpensive. I would use again.

Vehicle's navigation was absolutely useless we had to use our phone for directions.
