Customer service with GO campers was great, everything ran smoothly from airport pick-up to drop off at the end of our trip.

The experience with lotus car rental was good and I had been with them for all the time . It's my 9th time to Iceland and I still have more trips coming this year with them . I am in an online travel business where I bring Malaysian to travel around Iceland.

The vehicle that we ordered was not available when we arrived to Nordic campers. So we got upgraded to a larger vehicle. Our first vehicle, died in the first night and would not start the next morning and we spent the rest of that day trying to get it started and drove back to the office 3 hours away to get a different car. The heater also was not working at all and we were freezing all night. Our second car was what we reserved and everything was great until the third night. While driving a main road up a slope in the east fjords we almost ran into a guard rail. Our tire completely lost traction and spun out. The vehicle stalled out and we began to slide backwards. It took about 45 minutes to get away from the guard rail so we can go back down the hill and take a much longer route. This morning I was able to see the tires were completely worn down and the tire wires were exposed and of course the spare tire is broken too. Now I've driven several hours to the next town to find a mechanic. I thank God we noticed the tires were bad before they blew out while we were driving on the main road. And they can't pay the mechanic to replace them so I have to pay and wait for a refund. We have literally risked our lives renting from this company with how bad these tires were. It's obvious with both cars that they do no safety inspection and there's zero quality control. And when we shared all these problems with the employees they didn't seem to care and said if I wanted a refund I had to email the CEO

We had an excellent experience exploring Iceland in our Dacia Dokker! It was comfortable, drove great, and the people at Northbound and at Go Campers were so kind and helpful. We just returned from our trip and already miss camping out in the van. :)

The Defender was an amazing vehicle to use in Iceland. It is well capable on almost all the terrain yet fits in the smalls parking spaces of downtown. The bultin wifi was also a game-changer. This feature allowed us to use our google maps and find lots of amazing things we wouldn't have otherwise have seen. When we landed at the airport, I found someone holding a large sign with my name making it easy to get started. Finally, the transfer to the airport was very simple making the close of our trip very relaxing.

The experience was great, from the back and forth beforehand to find the right van and insurance to pick up and drop off at the airport. The van was exactly what we needed (get the one with the in van propane heater, for real) and kept us comfortable, mobile, and warm for our trip. Everyone at Star Car and at Northbound.is was super helpful and friendly.

It was a very long wait at thr airport to get picked up. And the return was a disaster because waze took us to another office and nobodu was there. We almos miss our flight because it was really hard to find the return office. The car uses extremely too much gas. Other tan that Iceland is beautiful

The service we got from Icerental 4x4 was great. They were fast, professional and friendly. However, the car we got had issues with the windscreen wipers. It had contact issues, so it did not really work. It was quite dangerous in rainy situations, which is quite common in Iceland. Also the door open lamp was on even we closed all the doors really carefully. It was really a problem, since I could not turn on the alarm until the car "thought" there were doors open. And it was really bad when I could not OPEN the car, because the car "thought" the doors were already open. I had to use the key at the driver's side and it was just pure luck we managed to open all the doors. The check engine lamp was on, which did not cause any trouble, it just annoyed me, and I had to call them to make sure it was OK. Again, they were quick and helpful. The car was not the most expensive to rent, but still, I paid quite a good amount of money and I got a fairly bad car. Please maintain the cars!

I hired a car from northbound for about 10 days with some friends. The car had some issues (a faulty window and door from a previous accident that wasn’t repaired, and an unrelated faulty wing mirror ). The tyres and engine seemed to be in good shape. The price was reasonable and pick up and drop off processes easy and convenient. I would use this company again. Would have preferred a full to full tank policy as much easier to estimate that 5/8 of a tank when filling up (seems to be common around Europe though).

My experience with the customer service at Nordic car rental is excellent. Staff is very thorough and prompt. However, I did not like the Suzuki SX4. We even doubted if it’s even a 4x4. It’s probably the brand/model but I would be more confident driving my Toyota RAV4 in the ragged roads of Iceland.

Good, efficient check-out, return, vehicle as advertised in great condition friendly service-

We did not have any issue with the car while we were travelling. However, the car was dirty when they gave it to us. The bedsheets were smelling very badly like they have been left in the car and not being washed. For the drop off, we picked the time 6am on the website but what a surprise to realise, when we arrived there, that the office only opened at 7am. Also, every time we had to call their emergency number nobody replied. Finally, we had to remind them the features we have paid extra for as they did not even check our booking.

Our experience with northbound was very great, we received answers quickly at every time we had a doubt. We can't say the same about solstice campers. They didn't answer, never. The camper was a Ford with lots of dents and with the steering wheel left damaged. Also, they didn't tell at any time that we would have to pay for a locker for the keys of the camper the day of the return.

We rented from Northern Light for 13 days. The car they supplied was in good running order and we had no issues. They were very responsive via email with any questions we had.

We loved it! Named it Jimmy. Good sturdy practical car just right for our needs.

Easy to drive and reliable car, perfect little car to explore everywhere in Iceland! Pick up on time with the car selected, perfect!

Wasn’t given the Jeep- given a suburu- was fine but not what I thought we were getting

Our experience with Star/Ace Car rental was excellent. They were waiting at the airport with our name on a card......easy to find him and helpful with the luggage and made sure I knew where everything was in the car.. Quick check in and no surprises. Paid what we agreed to by email. Check out was easy and a quick drop off at the airport. Location only 5 minutes away. Highly recommend the Wi-Fi box over the GPS in Car. With the box, they connected our phones so we were connected the whole trip . We took the box(size of a phone) with us on hikes and touring Reykjavik. We always knew where we where while hiking and walking. Great local car rental, thank you.

My first impressions weren’t great. I was met by a gruff staff member at the airport who told us that there wasn’t enough space in the van transferring us to the office so I had to leave my husband behind. This caused a level of anxiety in case it would be difficult to find each other again once I got the car. After arriving at the office there were two young chaps booking people in at a rate that was torturous. I waited, in line, for 45 minutes despite only having about 5 people in front of me, before so was finally sat down. The hard-sell crap was distasteful though by this point I shot so many daggers at your staff they didn’t bother trying to sell anything to me. Still, I upgraded the insurance as I’ve done my research before arriving. There was a problem with the Jimny so we were “upgraded” to a Suzuki Vitara. The car made very unhealthy noises the whole four days we had it, it had all sorts of warning lights on and generally speaking it felt like it was dying on us. The drop off experience was what it should have been. Quick, to the point, and didn’t have to wait around to be taken to the airport. Shame that we had to start our anniversary trip with being so incredibly frustrated at your offices.

First of all - thumbs up for Icerental 4x4! From the beginning when I contacted staff from the airport, to the end of our trip - service was excellent. Guys at the rental were helpful, giving out good advice and at the same time friendly. Keep it up! I will for sure recommend it to any of my friends travelling to Iceland :)
