This car is probably close to its retirement age as a rental car. It still works, and had no failures during my rental, but is definitely showing signs of age. However, the main problem I had with the car was that I intended to use it on F-roads, for which it is not at all suitable. I realize I should have done more research myself, to figure out that a Suzuki S-cross is not really an SUV, but rather a regular small car with 4WD. The road I attempted was nothing extreme, and would by no means require a super-jeep. A regular, medium-sized SUV with slightly bigger wheels and higher ground clearance than normal cars would work fine, even without 4WD. The S-cross has low ground clearance and very small wheels with fairly low tire profile, and did not work at all.

The 2018 Dacia Duster that I was supposed to get had over 130 000 km on the meter! Assuming it had been in service since the end of 2017 - say for 700 days - this means 186 km EVERYDAY all year round... Car however robust, with a rather good suspension, but noisy. Staff at drop-off completely understaffed (no one at arrival at the Keflavik office, the guy was returning from his shuttle service to the terminal, with no one else in the office!)

We are very happy about the travel. The car works perfectly and the stuff inside were complete for cook and slip. It's very comfortable sleep inside the car compared to the tent when the wind is strong or when it rain. Super recommended for camping and save a lot of money compared to hotel!

The costumer support was great. we had a few minor issues with the car but they ware resolved very rapidly while we ware 300km away from Reykjavik. If we'll to return to Iceland one day, we'll book a car with Grand Iceland.

I, as a woman would like to drive small car, and Toyota Aygo was a perfect solution of this. We could have a very nice driving though South and West Island! The staffs of the Lotus Car Rental are all nice and kind. But at the very beginning, we accidentally parked the car without putting the Gier on Neutral and the Engine didn't start!! Anyway we could solve this problem but it is better just to inform this kind of matter when we rent a car, especially for women driver like us.

Car was the right offer for our trip, aside from minor details was fully suitable to our ends. Thanks for the proper recommendation. .peter

The general experience with the car and its equipment was good. We found it easy to use and it proved reliable. However, we have comments on the responsiveness and overall costumer support by Solstice Campers. They were almost non-responsive to our questions via emails and provided the data on car pick-up at the very last moment. The fact that this information is supplied only two hours before the agreed time of a pick up, should have been provided beforehand. Also, inthree days since the return of the car no confirmation has been provided yet. On pick up we also had to specifically require camping chairs and a table, since it was not provided as announced in the contract. No sheet was provided. Fortunately, costumer support by Northbound was seamless.

It was great, everything worked fine.

The Suzuki vitara met all our needs.

First car we picked up had a engine car problem, appeared with a yellow light on the control panel. We had to go back and change the car. Then, with the new one, experience was good and we hadn't any problem with the second car.

All was well with the car, no issues on the road, proper guidance and very useful advice from rental team. Heating was working well and keeping us warm during chilly nights.

It was okay, except for the problems we had the first day with the battery and the gas levels. We phoned several times and the first time we phoned the person who took the phone was very rude and didn't want to help us. The rest of them very well. The car and the transportation to and from the airport was als okay.

Absolutely fantastic! Only suggestion we have to improve service, is we we're not aware that a representative would greet us upon exit from arrivals hall. We exited, and began searching for a Go rental booth along with the other providers. Perhaps a clarity in the confirmation email in bold letters "A GO representative will greet you as you exit the arrivals hall..."

We were not informed, that our booked car was not available due to an accident they day before. We got ‘slightly’ smaller car for 40€ less. But the smaller car was too small for our intentions so we asked for a swap. We were offered a bigger car in Reykjavik Downtown. So we had to re-arrange all our plans to get the car. The new car was a Ford Kugar in a very bad shape!!! Front tires extremely worn down to a minimum (which I told on return, but the assistant only asked if it was flat, if not, there wasn’t a problem). Seems like there is no rain, no wet roads, no aquaplaning on Iceland? The whole car was squeaking form inside. The fuel usage was enormously, 11l/100km while normal driving at 90km/h maximum! Half a fuel tank lastet for about 150-200km. Rear brakes where squeaking and making scratching metal noises also a lot. We choose intentionally a local rental company to support local rental companies. Never again Geysir Rental!!!

When we finally received it after 48 hours, it was great.

We loved our vehicle and the roof tent. The vehicle was very clean and in great condition. The mattress in the roof tent was comfortable, and we were warm at night (early Aug). The table, chairs, and kitchen kit we rented were also great. Transportation to and from the airport, and the rental process itself, were smooth as well. We had a fantastic 4 day, 3 night road trip experience in Iceland. Our favorite night was camping beneath a waterfall.

The 2017Kia Rio was a great car. It was clean, and though a few years old, practically new. The staff was helpful, friendly, and pleasant. I have rented cars on several occasions across Europe and this was the best experience.

As is the norm you get a car that is of the same class as the one you specify but that's not a problem. Car pick up and drop off was easy airport office is open 24/7 Information given about the roads was useful. All in all a good experience.
