Car Rentals in Iceland

Grand Iceland was great. The van was in excellent condition, clean, and with all the amenities. I opted to get picked up in Reykjavik and drop the car off at the KEF airport and it was super easy. I was picked up at a hotel in Reykjavik and simply parked the van in long-term parking at the airport. I would definitely use them again.

The car was fine! A few times we had issues with starting the car.. but this was not a big problem for us! You just had to try a few times ;) We dropped of the car in the Reykjavik Office. Nobody was there but when we picked up the car they told us that we can leave the key in a box at the office entrance. So all in all we were satisfied and we would rent a car again :)

Excellent service....pick up and drop off .....gas discount coupon...maps....etc. And some good tips on where to drive.......we might have missed a shore drive or two had we not had such good advice at the Orange counter from the staff.

Lagoon car rental upgraded us to a Toyota RAV which is a much bigger and nicer car set for the environment, with was super nice! if one advice to people renting: be careful when examining the car for scratches and dents before you drive. it went fine for us, but this way you dont have to worry for being blamed for something you didn't do to the car.

Ford Focus was a great car and good for driving on the main route( golden circle)

It was fine. Only issue was lack of info on the final confirmation that at the airport I was actually looking for a Lagoon rep and not a northbound rep. I would suggest you make it crystal clear on the documents you send to the customer that you are meeting a Lagoon rep. Also no use putting a phone number or email to contact if no one is going to answer for 3 hours..

Lava Car Rental was great! Truly. Major travel oops happened when I thought our group was arriving in Iceland in the PM when actually it was early in the morning, VERY early. Despite me having a completely different pick up time, they came to the airport to pick us up right when they opened and got us the car for us to begin exploring right away. The car was great; got a manual diesel (highly recommend) and drove fantastic since many roads are a bit rough with pot holes and gravel, etc. Both people that assisted in the pick up and drop off at the airport were very friendly and seemed interested in our plans and experiencing. A+

In the begining It Wasn't very polite to be oblige to phone three time about the time of apointement. They told me twice maybe three time that it should come in a few minutes and after in a ten minutes and after it should be there. To cloncluate we wait for a ride to the office 1 hour in total. We were in a lack of informations. We were let alone waiting for some knowledge about the pick up time to rent à wreck office. We were so anxious and disappointed. During formalities of renting car it Was so different we don't check fuel. For the return we Just have to let the car into a parking at the airport without any checking. But however it Was à good car and we had a good journey. I think rent a car need more organisation.

Overall great experience. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Gave us good tips and went over the contract and the car with us before we headed out. We had a Hyundai xi-35 because the Suzuki was not available when we arrived and it was great vehicle that was comparable to the suzuki. Car drove smoothly and we had no issues with it. It was a very good rental. I chose northbound because of the price and the package deal we found for the rental and it was perfect.

Fantastic, would recommend to anyone. Can't fault them in anyway. Will be using them again when we return.

The camper was perfect ! Wifi, gps, well equipped, clean and comfortable ! For the price, it's the perfect way to travel in Iceland !

Rental was smooth and convenient. The shuttle was about 20 minutes late upon our arrival, so we had to wait in the terminal for a while before our shuttle driver showed up, but everyone on the auto rental team was friendly and answered all of our questions. The car was clean, drove well, and kept us on the move for 10 days straight.

For my first time ever renting a car, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Booking was easy, I didn't have any issues finding a rep at the airport upon arrival and it was easy to add a GPS to my existing booking (get the GPS, you'll thank yourself later). I didn't have any issues with the car and I was advised in advance about speed cameras in towns. I was given a few maps and suggestions of landmarks to visit, including some that I wasn't aware of. I would definitely rent with Northbound again and would suggest it to any friends visiting Iceland

Appreciated the free upgrade. Pick up and drop off was painless and fairly fast. Pick up location could have been labelled a bit clearer though.

The camper was an excellent choice to see Iceland. We had a wonderful experience renting and using the services from CampEasy. Their staff are wonderful and very competent! Definitely renting from them again!

Hello, I wanted to rent a Suzuki Jimny. What a suprised in the airport when they told me that I have been upgraded to a nice Dacia Duster. We pick up and drop off the car directly at the airport. We didn't even have to clean it, something that a lot of companies ask. All the explanation were very clear. I recommend this company

Over all very good

My husband and I had an amazing experience in Iceland, and Go Campers was instrumental in our trip. The check-in process was fairly smooth (even though our flight had been delayed and Go Campers had changed their office location), and the van was ready to go when we arrived. We got on the road, and the van was perfect for our needs. We drove the ring road (and some of the side roads), and never had an issue. The bed was long enough for my 6'1" husband to sleep comfortably, and camping sites were easy to find. All in all, a wonderful experience that we hope to do again!!
