The van and camping gear provided were basic but provided all we needed. It also got good gas mileage (diesel engine). The extra room in the cargo area was great for sitting out of the rain, and I was able to stretch out a bit cross-ways (I'm 2 meters tall). The company Star rental was very efficient in check out and return and provided good service.

The car was good. Very new, and clean. The transport to/from the airport was without problems. Their shuttle only goes once/hour so you could be waiting for almost an hour for the shuttle in the worst case. This was not clear to me while booking and should be clarified.

This was my first trip to Iceland and my first time renting a car in another country. The car was perfect for my needs, and the staff went above and beyond with everything - from picking me up from the airport to making sure I understood how to pump gas at the various gas stations to drop-off to the airport. I will be back to use your services again! Thank you so much for making the process easy!!

Got an upgrade to an Hyundai Tucson. Was nice even it wasn’t a 4x4.

Rental vehicle was much nicer than expected! We had a very new vehicle with in-dash GPS that we did not even request. It was also a hybrid and had the charge in the trunk, which helped save on gas prices. Our only issue was that there was not a spare tire with the car, only a flat repair kit. We popped a tire and had to wait quite a long time for the roadside assistance, but the dispatcher was extremely helpful and responsive and made sure everything was handled well. Flat tires are merely part of traveling in Iceland and I do not blame anyone for that! Having a spare tire onboard would really speed up the repair though. When we dropped off the car, there was a free shuttle there to take us back to our hotel rather than having to call an expensive taxi. I would definitely recommend renting from this company. Get the platinum insurance! It is worth it.

Great experience overall. Very clean car, very fuel efficient, and drove better than I thought a Yaris would. I was happy with the level of customer service from both Northbound and MYCAR, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend both companies. Thank you for a seamless car rental experience in Iceland.
