Car Rentals in Iceland

Everything was great except it was not clear where is the meeting point at the airport is. Took us some time to figure. The car and service were just great. Will recommend and use next time.

It was easy to get our rental car with Lotus. They picked us up from the airport and drove us to their store. The staff were friendly and explained everything well. I highly suggest taking photos of the vehicle during the inspection. One scratch was not documented by their staff, but I had photos showing the condition when we arrived. Overall, easy to use and kind staff!

Auto bylo připraveno, řidič nás přivezl z letiště a po předání vozidla odvezl na letiště. Předání i převzetí vozidla proběhlo bez problémů, obsluha příjemná, podala nám nezbytné informace k cestování po ostrově.

The car was absolutely fine. We rented one with a roof-tent. It was stable, even with the tent on its top. we drove about 300kms on F roads. There was no river crossing, but we had some mud, wet roads, steep slopes with big rocks and uneven surface, and none of them stopped the car. The tent got wet inside by the end of our (2 weeks) trip, but as there were quite strong winds (76km/hr as a max.) together with rain I was not surprised at all. I think no tent would have been completely water resistant in such weather conditions. In fact I was satisfied with the tent because it was really stable during those winds. We were really satisfied with the car, and with Lotus too. Everything went smooth and quick.

Rental cars are expensive if you are under 25 years old, that's my only complaint. The car was absolutely perfect for going around Iceland, we did more than 2.500 km and everything went smoothly, fantastic!

Estuvimos 10 días con nuestro Grand Vitara 4x4, con su tienda en el techo. Tengo que decir que fue una experiencia increible, toda una aventura. No sabía si ibamos a poder dormir bien y fue genial. Todo muy fácil de montar y desmontar, la libertad de decidir dónde dormir cada día, lo bien montados que están los campings (y los sitios tan bonitos que son)....totalmente recomendable. Tuvimos días de mucho viento (huracanado de casi 100km/h y pillamos hotel, pero el resto de días, con viento y lluvia, no pasamos frio y la tienda fue genial. Camping Cars en todo momento estuvo disponible para nosotros si teníamos alguna duda. Nos informaron superbien de todo. Recomendable 100%!!! Gracias!!

I love the camper. It’s a good quality camper. My boyfriend wish to get one in the United States but it seems hard to find there.

Hands down the best car/camper van experience yet. Everything was easy. From the pick up at the airport to returning the van. There was no pressure to add anything additional however we did add sleeping bags (which I would recommend). They were friendly and helpful as well. I would definitely rent from them again!

This compact van goes everywhere you want to go except on the F-roads. Spacious enough for my pregnant wife and myself to store gear for three weeks of vacationing. The only complaint would be no cruise control which will help maintain the slow speed limits of Iceland.

We rented a Duster from Ring and had a great experience, both with the car itself and Ring. The only complaint is when packing it with 5 people (4 adults and 1 child) the cabin space got really tight in the back seat. A Toyota RAV4 would have been more spacious for people and luggage/gear. But the car drove really well. Ring staff were very kind and helpful and the pick up and drop off process was the quickest I have experienced in years. We had zero issues on our 9 day trip. Thank you!

Finding the right car with the best offer from various providers, as well as the subsequent booking, was very easy and straightforward. We were supplied with the necessary information and documents up to the trip. Thank you. We would book our car through Northbound again. The car was perfect for our trip. We had no issues at all, even though we went to the Highlands three times.

Hi, the car took us on the journey we needed to complete. However it was disappointing that it had a huge crack in the windshield for our safety but also because the previous users would have had to pay for the damages that weren't repaired. I assume they will be using our insurance payment to repair the damages which is quite disappointed. We were given a vehicle that during the course of the 10 days we hired it; needed a service, battery change for the keys, back light check, tyre pressure check, the zips were broken for the storage, there was a flap of plastic underneath the car from previous damage, the heater was one setting and was far too hot and the fridge didn't cool our food. When you hire a vehicle that is worth more than my accommodation for an entire month we expect it to be checked for our safety and comfort and we didn't feel this was the case.

Oh it will mechanically it was fine had a tire pressure indicator on all the time but I checked the tires and they were okay.

I was extremely impressed with MYCAR. Great vehicle, great price, superb customer relations and process (exceptionally pleasant and helpful staff).I would suggest the signage at the Reykjavík return site be more visible; I had some difficulty finding it. I hope MYCAR prospers, and look forward to using them again.
