Lava Car Rental in Iceland

Hi there! I was totally satisfied with the 2019 Dacia Duster that u provided us. It was fully functioning without any problems and was reliable. Also the staff was really welcoming and friendly! I also want to mention the good information that were sent to me per email for example about tunnel fees etc.

The car was excellent for the Icelandic roads. It was easy to pick up and return the car and. Everything went very fast. They offer shuttle bus from/to the airport which was very nice as well. The shuttle bus came quickly at the airport. They send email beforehand and during the rental period so we felt safe and well met throughout the rental period.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to give you a short feedback. First of all we would like to emphasize that we rented a great car. The condition was very good, the car was very clean inside and out and we enjoyed driving it. The service on the first day was also excellently organized. The shuttle bus was at the agreed place on time and quickly took us to their office. Everything was then dealt with quickly and easily on site. We were able to take over the car without much loss of time and start our round trip with it. The car served well during the trip. Even the small damage, where someone hit the car at night, could be settled quickly and easily with the contact person in her office. Returning the car was just as quick and easy. great job The only suggestion I would recommend is an ice scraper or broom as equipment for the car in winter and activating the navigation device. In my opinion, this is part of the current standard. Otherwise we are very satisfied with everything. Best regards and keep it up.

Nice Camper, With a lot of stuff, Nice heater, the cooler doesnt work but in Iceland is not needed

Perfecto car for the winter use.

We rented the car from Lave Car Rental after comparing different options. The communication was great. We got immediate response and regular updates. The pick-up at the airport was OK - but due to our arrival in the evening we had to give a call to the office. After collecting the car we noticed a small damage at the rear side, which was not recorded and noticed because it was already dark at the time of pick-up. We went back to the office the next morning and this solved. Great service - perfect car in top condition.

The car was nice. A bit smaller than we realized, but it worked for us. The back up camera, lane-assist, and CarPlay were huge bonuses

Everything went great. We even got a free upgrade. The pick-up service from the airport and after a week to the hotel was well organized. We would book through northbound again

The car was perfektly cleaned when we got it. Everything worked well. It was big enough for two persons and luggage for 10 days. At the hills sometimes I would like to have more horsepower. The shuttle from and to the airport was fast and easy. So I would rent a car with northbound and lava again.

We had a great experience renting through Lava. The only hitch was a late/confusing pick up at the airport, which is annoying when you land in a foreign country for the first time at 6 a.m. Other than that, the staff was quick, clear, transparent and helpful. Would totally rent from them next time!

Had a fantastic experience with Lava Car Rental (shoutout to Remi and Klara) - super efficient pick up service from the airport to the rental location. I was initially nervous about driving an SUV but was shown all the features of the car. If we had any questions throughout the trip, they were easily contactable and queries were dealt with efficiently. Would highly recommend Lava

We were thoroughly happy with the service supplied by Northbound. Everything was very easy in terms of booking online, getting picked up at the airport and with the campervan itself. The entire process was very smooth and Northbound made it very easy to compare types of vans and prices to get the campervan that best suite us at a very reasonable price. Cannot fault Northbound.

The car booking experience was flawless. I got continuous updates on the rental and the trip, along with useful information about Iceland. I actually got upgraded to a Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross which was a good surprise. The crew at Lava Car Rental was friendly and accommodating. I had some issues with the car tho, but that’s on the manufacturer rather than the rental company. All considered, I was happy with the experience.

Hi, fortunately for us we got up graded to a Nissan qashqai automatic. We were very pleased with the upgrade and thought Lava car rental were excellent to hire from. Will definitely use them again.😃

It was awesome. Everything was perfect. The car was super, really fast airport shuttle and great communication. Definitely going to book with Northbound again!

Der Dacia Duster hat die Strecke, es waren über 2700 km, problemlos und ohne Panne überstanden, es war genug Platz für 3 Personen und Gepäck vorhanden, wir waren mit dem Pkw sehr zufrieden.

The Renault Kangoo is not a very nice campervan. Because there is no connection between the front of the car and the sleeping area. That makes the sleeping area very easily wet. The condens stays in this area and it was wet all over. Also there is no possibility to use the side door of the sleeping area and that's not so handy. Also the curtain in the back was to short . So the car from last year was much better for sleeping than this one

Lava is the best “car-provider” in Iceland, highly recommend !!!
