Lotus Car Rental in Iceland

I've enjoyed the car and all the suport of the team!

Great service at the pickup. Car was in excellent condition. Camping with the roof tent in general it was great, also because of the good weather. The roof tent was missing locking pins - while driving the F35 the locks opened because of the shocks. We fixed it temporarily with key rings, but Lotus should pay better attention to that. A real pain point of the roof tent is that the head end of the matras gets wet when you need to close the tent in the rain. Wegennet rains, the outside is wet of course, but also the condens at the inside does not dry. Lotus should provide instructions and a plastic cover or some other protection for the matras. Now we had to fix it with garbage bags (after the first matras wetting had been done). Definitely room for improvement here. We have seen other roof tent campers with the same problem. CarPlay in the Duster was not stable. Probably a problem if this specific car. Tried different cables and different iPhones, all with the same problem. The unlimited free WiFi (part of the the most expensive insurance, of which I am still not sure if it’s a sensible thing to take) was great. Saved us a lot of mobile data. Drop off and the transfer to the airport where great again.

The car was OK and met our needs. Great service at pickup and return of the car, both at the airport and the office. I rented two Dacia Duster. One was clean and one was a bit dusty,

The car was in line with my expectations and even something more when it was time to drive on dirty roads. I drove into desert tracks and the car showed good performace, despite the small engine and apparently lack of power

everything went fine. Other than a blown fuse and no spares available everything else is ok. The car handled well, quick check in and drop off. Obviously prices are very important for the type of vehicle I would have expected to spend less. Still, it was a pleasant rental

The Kia Sportage provided by Lotus was perfect for my wife and I and our 20 year old son - including all our backpacking gear - as we drove the Ring Road and hiked the Laugavegur Treck. The car and its built-in navigation unit and ApplePlay worked perfectly. The portable wi-fi unit provided with the car was super handy for accessing the internet during nearly our entire drive and was much appreciated. I originally booked a Hyundai Tucson with Lava, but realized two days before the trip that I booked the wrong dates. Lava did not have a car for the correct dates which put our whole carefully planned Ring Road itinerary in jeopardy. When I made a panicked call to the Northbound customer service line, the woman on the line was very knowledgeable and SUPER helpful. She cancelled the Lava booking, reviewed with me what cars were still available with other companies, and guided me towards a solution I was very happy with. Sure I ended up paying more for a last minute booking. But my family was able to proceed with our carefully planned itinerary and we ended up having a fantastic experience. Thanks Northbound for rescuing me in my time of need!

It was perfect ! L’accueil à l’aéroport, le transfert, le check in / out et bien sûr, le véhicule, une jeep Renegade automatique, tout à été parfait. Très bonne voiture, propre, récente, sans aucun souci. Je recommande Northbound, et repasserai par leur intermédiaire dès que j’en aurai l’occasion.

The takeover, the support on the way and the return was friendly, businesslike and uncomplicated. We would rent again from Lotus Car Rental. Due to local conditions, we recommend taking out comprehensive insurance.

We had a positive experience with the car, very nice car in good condition, pleasant folks to work with at the office, and the shuttle both to and from the airport was efficient (we didn't have to wait long). The wait to check out the car was longer than ideal, but perfectly reasonable.

Great experience with Lotus Car Rental. The 2022 Toyota Yaris Automatic was just perfect for our needs. Enough space for 2 people and 2 large suitcases.
