Great experience from start to finish. Any enquiry by email was answered within hours, Thankyou Thordis. When we arrived in Reykjavik at midnight, we were immediately transferred to the car rental terminal just off the airport. I actually booked a Suzuki Vitara for 4 days but was upgraded at no charge. Took the platinum insurance package just to be sure, but no issues at all. I took photos around the car as recommended by the representative from Northbound, returned it with a full tank and we were transported back to the airport. I would have no hesitation in renting from Northbound car rentals whatsoever. 5*.

It is a good car! The weather in Iceland was so bad when we were there, but the car makes us feeling safe on the snowing road. It was a good experience.

Perfect. Good car for Price.

We had a good experience with NLCR. The Dacia Duster 4x4 is very suitable for roadtrips in Iceland. Smooth pick-up and drop-off procedure. Only point of improvement: we got a form with notes of existing damage on the car and were asked to sign this form withpout even seeing the car. It would be more appropriate to take a look at the car first, together with an employee of NLCR, and then to sign this form.

It's a nice car, we enjoy driving it ,and the journey is wonderful.

We had a great experience in Iceland. We drove the entire ring road for 10 days and had zero breakdowns. The vehicle we rented served us well as we rode through harsh weather conditions and it also helped us got out of deep snow where we inevitably treaded into. Easy car collection and drop-off. Car was ok, did what we needed it to on winter roads.

The car was OK, big enough for 4 adults and 1 child including baggage. The personal from Icerental 4x4 was very kind and fast in service.

We got a Hyundai.i30 and this car was amazign. In really good condition. Really comfortable drive! Thank you. In 2017 we had a Qashqai for 2 weeks and it was also without problems :)

Pick up at the airport was so easy,10 mins to pick up the car and a quick chat about the weather and what to watch out for. When we return to Iceland we will return to Northbound for our vehicle.

The heating system didnt work, it was very cold in the evenings

Highly recommended. I had issues, probably my fault, with a dead battery and I had very little time to spare. In no time it was sorted and I was on my way to my engagement. Fantastic service, I’m returning in June and will be using Northern Lights again for my trip.

Online rental worked fine. Car was waiting at the airport in excellent condition and with a full tank. I especially appreciated new winter tires during the heavy winter storms. The return was super flexible and they picked up the car with 10 minutes warning time.. (I had a bus to catch ;). Superb, warm recommendation. BTW; it's a small family owned local business which is nice as well. At least not funding the republicans (har har).
