Experience the very best of the South Coast on this fantastic 16-hour jeep expedition – including the breathtaking floating icebergs of Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon.

Along the way you’ll explore stunning waterfalls, black beaches, the wonders of Skaftafell National Park, and much, much more. This is one long, wonderful day you will never forget  For those restless travelers who will not settle for “South Coast” tour, but want more, we offer the Jökulsárlón & Best of the South Coast tour. The Best of the South Coast tour not only features the Seljalandsfoss waterfall; the Skógarfoss waterfall; the secret waterfall; the Dyrhólaey promontory; the Reynisfjara black beach; and a view of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano (see the “South Coast” tour for fun details concerning these landmarks) – but a variety of other sights as well. After we have visited the aforementioned sights, we drive on to the Skaftafell national park.

The Skaftafell national park is Iceland’s second largest national park. We are not the kind of people that feel small in the presence of big things: We have lingered in line behind basketball players; stood next to elephants; and walked underneath skyscrapers, all without doubting, for a moment, our own grandeur and self-worth – but we admit that every time that we enter the Skaftafell national park we begin to feel insignificant. There is something about the ancientness of the glaciers and the majestic presence of Hvannadalshnjúkur (Iceland’s highest mountain) that gives us a sense of awe and wonder.

Within the national park travelers will see Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon; the Svínafellsjökull glacier; and the Systrafoss waterfall (the Sisters waterfall), where two waterfalls run side-by-side down a mountain in the middle of a village. Join us on this wonderful journey through the best that Iceland’s south coast has to offer.
