One of the most powerful waterfall in Europe

Dettifoss is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland because of it's sheer volume of water, it is the largest waterfall in Iceland in terms of volume discharge, having an average water flow of 193 m3/s

Dettifoss can be reached by a new tarmac road (Route 862, finished in 2011) and an older gravel road (Route 864)
