The diverse landscape that surrounds this wonderful campsite makes it a great camping experience. There are around 40km of marked walking paths and there is also a family-friendly tree museum. It is also possible to rent boats in the area and horse rental.

The campsite is located by the lake Lagarfljót, folklore all the way back to the 1300s tell stories about the Lagarfljóts Worm a monster that lives in the lake. Maybe you'll get lucky and catch a glimpse at it!
