Hellissandur Camping

Surrounded by stunning lava fields, Hellisandur campsite was opened in 2011.

Surrounded by stunning lava fields called Sandahraun, the Hellisandur campsite was opened in 2011. It is well-equipped for all camping needs and has close by hiking trails. There are also many beaches, whilst viewing the sunset from the coastline is a breathtaking experience. The national park around the Snæfellsjökull is next to the campsite.
