This campsite is based next to a hostel, which is an old converted farmhouse. The campsite is located within Önundarfjörður and is surrounded by high mountains.

The campsite is surrounded by many possible hiking trails and also climbing opportunities. It is also a great opportunity for birdwatchers as many seabirds and even eagles are seen in the area.

The campsite is home to a small hut which has two wash closets, a shower and also a sink for washing dishes.
