"Not the best experience. Picked up the truck and had a bad knock as we took off in the right rear tire. Took the vehicle back instantly. They drove the vehicle and came back told us it would need to be fixed after we returned it (really we are here now). So we took it, they would not switch it out. Made it 4 hrs away in the highlands and it progres... Lestu meirasively got worse. Called them. They said they would switch it out and meet us at the campsite at 8:00 stayed till 9 no one. We called they said go in would meet in the trail. Meet us around 4pm that day. Switched the truck out after having to stay in one area Al day killing the whole day. It is expensive coming to Iceland and we had stops that day not made. When they arrived the truck was just at a half a tank, when ours was full. Had to leave the highlands to get fuel. That night in the new truck it rained and our camper top poured water in soaking the foam on the bed. We contacted them again and they told us we could get a discount. Slept in a wet bed for 3 days. No help for us at all. We did not receive any discount or fuel reimbursement. (Told we would). The place we rented thru was Ice pole/ car rental Iceland beside the old air force base in Keflavík. I do not recommend renting from that hub. $2000 American for 4 days and was really bad of a night sleeping in a wet bed."

"All the truck and camper system functioned correctly but a guide or video for their use ( water heater, cabin heater and inverter ) would help less experienced users. A few constructive comments about the camper box outfitting: - could use bigger pots and pans than the small ultralight cook gear provided. Spatulas. - plastic dishes ( plate... Lestu meira and bowl) are not suitable for microwave yet there is a microwave. - a small broom would be nice. - advertisement says sleeping bags but it was big blankets."

"It was a very good choice - optimal combination of force and comfort. Not as big as a classical caravan, but possible to access the 4x4 roads. We were mobile and able to adapt our plans in respect to weather conditions. Sleeping was fine, heating worked perfectly. The fuel consumption is in accordance with the weight of he vehicle."

The people assisting us were so patient as the plane was delayed and customs took awhile to get through and I lost a bag in the airport and they waited until I found it with no complaints. "The motorhome was extremely old and poorly maintained. It had visible signs of wear and damage both inside and outside. The dining table bench was torn, the wooden furniture showed significant deterioration, and the cargo compartment smelled like garbage. The biggest problem, however, was the bathroom. It had a terrible odor from the very first... Lestu meira day. We used large amounts of air freshener throughout the trip, but the smell never disappeared and significantly affected our travel experience. To make matters worse, the bathroom window simply fell off during our rental. To be fair, all of the vehicle’s systems worked properly, and we appreciated the clean bedding, towels, and kitchenware. However, those positive aspects were far outweighed by the poor overall condition of the motorhome. For the amount we paid, the vehicle was simply not worth the money. Unfortunately, our experience with Car Rental Iceland was also disappointing. The pickup process was very negative, and the return process was not handled well either. The only reason the return ended on a positive note was because of Arak, who was professional, helpful, and genuinely went above and beyond to assist us. He deserves recognition and our sincere thanks. Overall, this was one of the worst rental experiences we have had. The condition of the motorhome did not match the price we paid, and we cannot recommend this company. We will never rent from Car Rental Iceland again."
