Outstanding!

camping cars was excellent. picked up at airport on time then drove short distance to pick up car which was very good condition for age. the roof tent was very good and easy to put up and down. we also got quite a few tips on route we were taking and a few pointers on places to go that I did not read about. The wifi was also a great help for navigating. I would certainly recommend them and would use again.

Outstanding!

Camping Cars was fantastic and a great way to see Iceland. The service was friendly and the car was great - surprisingly comfortable sleeping on the top of the car. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling through Iceland.

Good

The car itself was not great. It's extremely basic and lacks simple features that I typically expect on even the cheapest cars like cruise control, air conditioning, automatic transmission, or even a simple center console to use as an armrest or to store phones, snacks, batteries etc. That said, the car functioned perfectly well enough for getting around the country. It was reliable and stayed on the road, even through rivers and F roads. The service from Camping Cars itself was excellent, from pickup through explanations, communication etc. The service was always friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. Were I to do this again I might spring for a slightly more expensive car.

Outstanding!

Very friendly people at the car rental. The Grand Vitara was no the newest, but probably still one of the best in its class for Icelandic roads. The tent was pretty comfortable. Highly recommended.

Good

It was really great, easy to drive and extremely comfortable seats for the long drives. We also found the tent to be way more spacious and comfortable than I thought it would be to sleep in. Although we did get wet one night after heavy rain as it pelted against the lining of the tent.

Outstanding!

We loved our Dacia Duster, the helpfulness of the staff and the camping package offered. We had a terrific 4 day visit and would love to return. The wifi was great as we were able to take pictures and share with friends and family on the go! The car was all 4x4 yet easy to drive like a normal car and had plenty of space and comfortable. I must admit my partner knew them from 30 years ago and was apprehensive but found it a great car now.
