The experience with the supplier was great. Our shuttle driver Mario had very useful advice he shared about out trips plans and was also very helpful with getting us started in our rental car. The rooftop tent was very easy to use and so comfortable we didn't need to use our sleeping pads. I plan to use this company again next time I'm, in Iceland, it was very smooth from start to finish! The car fit our needs exactly and the wifi hotspot was very useful.

Hi, Ivar! This car was adviced by my friend from autosport. He has never been in Iceland, but he said bigger is better, automatic much more easy to drive, just close your eyes when filling tank. We choosed 8 years old car to minimize expenses in case of total destroing it. Colour of peach helped my wife to find car among others. So, we, retired pensionaries, succesfully made 3800 km around Iceland, time after time explothe supplier F roads. Just 2 rivers stopped us. Partly because I promised at rentals not to take risk on water. Big surprise for us was roof tent - it is super cool! Never sleep in tent better as on the roof of car. The Northbound team were very helpful and easy to deal with. transfers to and from the airport were swift and comfortable. We were given an upgrade as our car had a fault. The car was in great condition and dealt with the "F" roads with ease. Highly recommended.

Hi, I’m very unhappy about the supplier. The car has a leak behind (on the rear drive). I was not responsible for that. To be sure that the car won’t be very damage, I brang it to a garage and paid a bill of 7500 isk. The garage wrote on the bill that I am not responsible. When I return the car, the supplier told me that they would refund me soon. Since, I have no refund, they don’t answer my message. It is not acceptable. Be sure that I will inform other customers on the Camping car site and yours if nothing change. Romain

Our pick up experience was dreadful. I had updated our booking with our flight details a few days before our arrival. Upon arrival in Iceland (at 2210, our flight was slightly late) I telephoned the number to arrange the pickup. The office was closed but I hoped someone would be waiting for us in arrivals. They weren't. The only number I was able to telephone was the emergency breakdown number. When I got through to someone they said that the office was closed and no one would be coming to pick us up. They then stated they didn't have our flight details (though I have an email confirmation confirming that they did). Regardless, they refused to pick us up. We ended up having to spend the night in the arrivals hall at the airport (a very uncomfortable 9 hours). At 7am I telephoned the office immediately and someone came to collect us. Mario was much nicer than whoever I had spoken to on the phone the night before and was extremely helpful. But please, if your customers flights are delayed, don't leave them at the airport overnight again!

The guy who dealt with us when we were there to return the car was so arrogant. The overall experience with the car was pathetic all random issues for five days of road trip. The car which was provided to us was not at all in a good condition it was drinking gasoline like anything everywhere. The wheel alignment was damn bad that car was going on right side regardless of wind direction even I checked with the local mechanic in between he did mentioned the same about the alignment, however the the supplier company guy was arguing was us on wheel alignment and was blaming us, icelandic roads, and winds which I find nonsense because I am driving 4 wheelers since last 7 years. Definitely was not a good experience with the car. Random issues with lock, boot door, car start etc. Even the tent had one hole in it.

We had a great experience with the supplier and could not recommend them more. Excellent communication from start to finish and seamless airport pick up and drops offs as well. They went above and beyond to give us great tips for places to visit and camp as well. The car was everything we needed the the rooftop tent was awesome!

We had a very good time in Iceland. The Suzuki Jimmy was a perfect car to explore the island. It served well on dirtroads. And the tentroof was super cosy. Hire sleeping bags though. And other camping gear, cause you need it. Only the kitchenbox was disappointing. Not enough gear to really serve yourself. And the stove did not work well. For the rest, good value!

The car itself was old, well used, and not very comfortable. However, given its huge mileage (380 K in km) it was still reliable, and gave us no grief.

The car was great, and the tent was super comfortable. Wish the car was newer to get better gas mileage in a comparable size

The car met all of my needs between 4-wheel drive, the pop up tent, and comfortable driving. The tent withstood rain and was easy to assemble as a tall woman traveling alone. The car came with amenities that made 3,000+ miles of travel more comfortable (seat warmers, bluetooth radio, etc). Handled well on fire roads and rain, but could use a new pair of windshield wipers.

The car met my expectations and was excatly what I'd wanted. Milage was close to 140.000 km, which was also okay. There was seat heating, two power outlets and radio with CD player. A mobile router for internet was working well. Most importantly I always felt save while driving this car.

It was easy to drive and had loads of space. the car was reliable and handled well. The rooftop tent was super easy to set up and down.

Hello, The car was perfectly maintained instead of its 255 000 km. The motor orange light was visible but no problem on the road. Third gear was a bit domaged. Dacia Duster mudguard conception is very bad for Tur and gravel. Employees were very understandable and available. Thanks to them. A great experience I wish to do again. Bye-bye !

I had a great experience with the supplier! The collection from the airport was efficient and I was welcomed to Iceland with a friendly smile :) Handing the keys over was quick and easy too. Travelling solo I was reassured to feel safe with all the information and website links that were provided. I had a very special trip and hope to return sometime in the future. Thanks again!

The car saved us in the sandfok, also was reliable, from the beginning to the end a great experience from the people involved to the equipment on the car everything worked perfectly, friendly and ready for us, one of lights of the car broke but Bogi quickly came out on top and we had it fixed in a matter of minutes, when I’m back on Iceland I will use campingcars again marvelous experience

Everything worked as expected. Car was as promised and we never had any issues. The integrated WiFi was practical. Would choose again.

It was so amazing renting a car here. Every body were so nice and kind. Explain everything clearly of how to stay safe on the road and keep checking the road conditions. The car also very nice, clean, easy to drive and very safe when drove through the snow. And the camping is very easy to open and close, super convenient. I love it! If have a chance to go visit Iceland again I will definitely use your company again!

Fantastic vehicle.

In general, our experience with the supplier company was great! The customer service and kindness of the staff is something that needs to be mentioned, they answered all of our questions clearly and gave us some really good advice :) The car itself wasn't perfect from the visual point of view but of course, it was something we expected as it was Suzuki from 2014 but from the mechanical side everything was great - we managed to drove 4300 km without any serious problems. Only once we heard a strange noise coming from the rear left wheel while driving on F-roads but it wasn't anything that made any problems for us. Also, Suzuki Grand Vitara is a perfect car for driving both on normal and F-roads comfortably having really big luggage space. The rooftop tent experience was the adventure of our lifetime :) Great work both the supplier and Northbound - keep it up :)

The service was very good. I enjoyed the talk to the staff. Friendly, helpful and humorous. I did call one time because a lamp in the car strarted to light an did got help directly. The car and the tent was exactly as described and I had a very good trip.

Our rental experience with the supplier was great! Their service was top notch. I did have to borrow someone's cell phone to call them for pick-up upon our arrival, as they did not reply to the e-mail i sent upon landing... but the staff was very kind and accommodating! We were concerned about the battery upon receiving the rental and they took the time to put a brand new one in before sending us off. The rooftop tent was very comfortable and convenient! Just be aware of any wind storms that may be coming thru... it gets too loud to sleep if the winds get heavy. Would rent from the supplier again!

Excellent communication

I had a great time in Iceland, driving around with my three children. The car was perfect for our needs, and with the roof tent we could all sleep in or on top of the car. Fantastic service. Really pleased with the whole experience. Booking through Northbound was super easy and well priced, the car was brilliant and exactly as described. The car was functionally sound. Everything worked great. The pickup was on time and very helpful and friendly explaining everything to us, giving safety tips and suggestions. Compagny is very helpfull great service good price for what you get. we had some small troubles with windscreenwipers and headlight the are solved proper when we did a fly by and received a other car and 1 day free rent. pick up and delivery service was great and fast and on time. very helpfull team and good weather and travel information has been given

Hired a 4x4 Duster from the supplier for 10 days in the middle of winter - wanted something that would be good for getting around the the supplier road no matter the ice and snow. Then realised maybe I shouldn't have hired a rooftop tent in the middle of winter...! Turned out very well though, the sleeping bags from the supplier were nice and warm, and the canvas on the roof tent happily keeps the weather out. The car itself coped perfectly with the snow and ice, and I think the jeep-style is more fuel efficient than a camper-van shape. Spent most of the time listening to audiobooks on the stereo via bluetooth - had the wifi router from the supplier and don't think I ran into a signal deadzone along the the supplier road. Kitchen box is well enough equipped for basic cooking, but most campsites had an electric hob to use anyway. Would definitely recommend the supplier.

The supplier was brillant. the staff were waiting for us to pick up at the airport on the 25th at 23:45 ! we are very thanksfull for that. The car was fine. comfy, no issues with it The staff show us all tips to use the roof tent and how to drive in security in Iceland. Best rental company I've seen in my all travels

We are very content with our location. a person came to meet us dearly at the airport directly to take us to our 4x4. the car was very well equipped, wifi, duvets.

The supplier were really friendly and picked us up and drove us back from/to the airport. We were really satisfied with the car, the tent and the sleeping bags.

My experience with the supplier was amazing. It allowed for my wife and I to stay warm duthe supplier the days as well as have so much extra comfort at night with all the extras we were able to hire. We saw the the supplier road of Iceland and many other extra sights in a week due to the amazing vehicle we were able to hire.

Easy to find exactly what I was looking for. Great prices and made for a fantastic experience. Will certainly use again!
