"Review of Our Car Rental Experience in Iceland We originally booked our rental car through Camping Cars, so we were surprised to find out that the actual rental was handled by Icerental. We had reserved a Suzuki Jimny specifically because we planned to drive on some of the highland (F) roads. Unfortunately, the Jimny was no longer available when... 查看更多 we arrived, and we were given a Suzuki Vitara instead. This was quite disappointing, as the Vitara is not suitable for F-roads, and we had to rent a separate Jeep later on for those parts of our trip. We had also booked and paid for a WiFi card, but upon arrival, we were told there were none left. Although the staff kindly offered to reimburse us if we bought one ourselves, we were on vacation and simply didn’t have the time or capacity to arrange that – especially while traveling with a child. The airport pickup went very smoothly for us, as I was traveling with only one child. However, other customers weren’t so lucky – the shuttle didn’t have enough seats for full families, so only one person per group was allowed to go collect the car, which caused some delays and inconvenience for others. During our rental period, we also encountered a few technical issues with the car: After about a week, the warning light for Radar Brake Support came on, as well as a notice about an oil change. One of the front lights was not working, and the driver's door couldn't be locked with the remote key – it always had to be locked separately by hand. Despite these problems, we had a wonderful holiday. The stunning nature, warm-hearted people, and unique landscapes of Iceland truly impressed us. This certainly won’t be our last trip to the island. We would really appreciate it if you could consider offering a compensation, especially since the car and WiFi service we had originally booked were not provided. Best regards, Sandra Großer."

"Deduction on the Pickup, as there was some confusion, they only pick you up once you call. I was under the impressoin that only counts if you fly in directly, as it makes sense, to handle flight delays, luggage issues, what so ever.. But since we were picked up at a hotel, I assumed the pick up will happen at the time arranged, as no unforseeable d... 查看更多elays have to be counted in, so making that extra call seemed not neccesary .. turns out, you still need to call for the pickup.. in the end we waited at the hotel for the pick up for quite some time.. once that call was made though, everything worked out well .. as for the car, we got an upgrade to a Suzuki Grand Vitara, as the prepared Dacia apparently had some sealing issues and rainwater got into the car over the past few days .. That car worked fine Cooking Equipment was a little underwhelming, a pan would have been nice, also stove does not work very well in colder conditions .. Anyways, northbound service was great, adjustments to the reservation were taken care of swiftly, all in all we definitly had a great expirience, would book with you guys anytime again, thanks!!"

"Car was used, with a few marks but worked just fine. It had one dashboard light on, i suspect the tires light. The car tent is not very suited for Icelandic Weather, but it servid it's purpose. The car charger and radio didnt work. As it was a more cheap rental it is reasonable that there were some small defects.
