GO Car Rental på Island

The car rental went really good. I was a bit disappointed at first with the car arriving with 50 minutes delay at the pick up point. But the agents at the office made offered spontaneously compensation such a wifi hotspot for the car and flexibility when dropping off the car. Good experience and warm reception at the office

Hi, The car was good. However I Wasn’t happy at all with the fact there was a surcharge of €250 as I didn’t have a credit card. When booking I was told debit card was accepted. I paid the deposit with my debit card also. Will not be booking again unless I receive a refund for the extra money I paid. I hope you understand my frustration. Its not clear at all on your website. “ You can book your vehicle on Northbound using a credit-card or some 16-digit debit cards.” Kind regards Andrew goodenough

Hey Ivar I wasn’t going to leave a review since I was conflicted but since I got the email here goes. I was very happy with the accommodation of pickup as I made a mistake in booking the pickup date, yet still I arrived a day later than expected and was still able to pickup my vehicle. The drop off was also a super smooth process. The pickup was a nightmare no one to meet in airport shuttle and instructions unclear. Finally when we got to the offsite building we waited over an hour due to lack of staffing and overall enthusiasm of workers, who’s body language couldn’t be bothered to go faster instead getting water and working at a leisurely speed. The rental vehicle itself had the alignment off so the steering wheel was crooked the whole time and the oil change light was on which made it distracting to drive.

Hello the car was good for us but the tires are old winter tires with very low profiles it works on gravel roads not very well. I have rent the car for a week and want one more week with an other driver - this was no problem and only one mail and one call - perfect organization. But if we pick up nobody was at the meeting point- after 30 minutes we call then it works and at GO it needs two hours to get the car - not about lot of people more because the stuff was very slow and not well planned.

We had a good experience driving around Iceland with the Suzuki. We didn’t have any problems with it. I highly recommend it!

No shuttle was there to pick us up at the airport. We paid for a taxi to take us. We had to wait over an hour to get the car and the car we received was older than 2022, it had rusty wheel rims and was very dirty inside. I was not happy with this rental experience. The price was double after adding insurance and I felt I could have gotten a better car with an easier pick up if I just got one at the airport. Not worth it just for a car.

The 7-seaters car is a great fit for our family of 3 adults and 3 kids. We enjoyed it very much. Great staffs! The office opens 24 hours and with shuttle car service. It can take ~30 mins to return car and 5 min to get to the airport. The speed limit and track detection are very helpful. But the cruise control didn't work for us. The third row is not big and so small baby seats or boosters are better. With the third row used, there's only room for a troller in the trunk. We managed to squeeze in some grocery in the trunk and in the foot areas.
