"What a great little car! It does everything you want it to do. F-roads are no problem! For 3 adults with switches it was big enough. For 2 adults and 2 children would it be possible also."

"The pick up was smooth. The staff were friendly and helpful. Information about the vehicle and road rules in Iceland was clear. We enjoyed using the van. It was perfect for the 6 of us. I will say, that the drop off was a bit uncomfortable. We took photos of the vehicle which had many scratches, a broken side view mirror and many marks on the inside. We had been warned that often renters are blamed for these things although they may not be responsible. We felt this was what was happening. We had full insurance coverage so whether we put a scratch on the car should not have been an issue let alone our need to prove that. I was glad not to be dropping it off on my own as an older woman."

"The pickup of the car was very slow. It was not busy when we arrived, but it took forever to check us in and the customer support was non existent until we insisted on them showing us a few things. They do not do a walk around or show you the vehicle at all...just hand you the keys and want you to leave. We wanted some explanation on the grinding brakes, the wifi rental box and how to put the shift into reverse (different than Canada). The service on returning the vehicle was also lacking support and took forever. The gal was running back and forth, doing what we don't know. She wouldn't give us a receipt until we insisted, then she wasn't sure it was correct. While we purchased the rental in Canadian dollars, it was charged in Euro, which made it confusing. We had some issues with the wifi and tires and she did listen, and left to apparently talk to her boss about it, and said customer service would get back to us on whatsapp...but they have not. We followed up a few days later and still no reply from customer service. Regarding the condition of the car...on pickup there was white stuff all the down the side of the vehicle. We thought it was a permanent marking but later it disappeared so the vehicle just had not been cleaned on the exterior. The wifi box did not work for the first few days and the response they sent was not related to our inquiry. After another attempt to get them to fix it, they did reply and got it working again...and did process a partial refund, although we have not received it yet. The backup camera did come on when in reverse, however the picture was so dark and unclear that it was useless. We had a flat tire while traveling through Iceland and we were told by the tire repair man that the car should never have been released to clients with the condition of the rear tires. He felt that the rear tires had likely been on the front the previous season as they were so worn. Also while changing our tire we found the lug nut wrench was damaged and not able to remove the bolts. We had to borrow one from someone else. All in all we managed to have a great trip in Iceland, despite the issues with the car. We were hoping that Go Car Rentals would do the right thing and offer some reimbursement for our expensive new tire. They now get the benefit of having a new tire at our expense. The customer service needs to be better on pickup and drop off. It shouldn't take so long to pick up a car, especially when they don't even take you out to go over the car with you."
