The tow from a remote location plus the tires costs us over $1,500 USD from the rental company since this wasn’t included in our insurance. Even though some new cars don’t include a spare, simply including a spare tire and jack would have made this a $50 repair or $250 new tire. I will not rent another car, especially in Iceland, that doesn’t include a spare tire."
