Thrifty Car Rental Icelandでは

Fantastic service especially on pick-up. Fast and easy to rent a car on the day that we needed it and reasonably priced. Car itself was sturdy for winter roads and a pleasure to drive. It made a great end to our holiday in beautiful Iceland! Many thanks!

Thrifty was excellent, easy check-in and check-out. Provided us with maps and essentials needed to make our visit a pleasant experience.

Car was great, everything ok, besides that company who rented us the car had a windshield crack and they did not write it in the protocol at the beginning. When we were returning the car they wanted us to pay for the damage. Luckily we had a video on our phone right after we left the company where they could see that the crack was already there. Finally, they agreed but we had to argue a bit with them. Tomas

The car itself was fine and the process of collecting was easy. The drop off, on the other hand, was a shambles. We were told on the day of collection that the last shuttle would leave at 16:30, but we had rented the car until 18:00. The collection point is a long way out of town. We were told that we'd have to get a bus or taxi back. Given this hadn't been told to us earlier, we couldn't change our plans. No clear instructions were given about how and where to get a bus. When we dropped off the car at 17:30, the office was closed, so we could have realistically dropped the car off the next morning... We tried to get a bus, but they only accept cash, which we didn't have, nor did the cash point in the nearby petrol station work. So we had he option of walking for an hour and a half in -7 degrees or getting a taxi that cost us over £30 back to the centre, pretty much defeating the point of renting a car in the first place. A simple solution wold have been to let us know about this situation earlier so we could plan for it, or to provide a proper shuttle service. 4.5/5 for collection, 0/5 for drop-off. Would not recommend based on our experience...
