Cheap Campervans 在冰岛

Hey! The car was very good for me. I had no problems with it! It was a smoothly drive. The staff was friendly. Just at the arriving at the airport, there was no one for me to pick me up. I called and first, they didn't find my booking. I had a little bit of stress. But in the meanwhile, we had instant communication. And in the end, they found it and they directly, picked me up. The car was sober, but for me, one person, i had it all. What and breathtaking land and experience!! I loved my car and the country! Thanks, northbound :) . One tip: Take the assurance for graveldamage.

I found it a good compromise between price and performances

This was amazing.. it was everything we needed. It was very cozy and great on fuel .. Cheap campervans is an amazing company to deal with, very friendly and helpful . I will definitely be using them then I go back to iceland next summer!

The cheap camper van was great. I enjoyed my time using it, drove smoothly and had all the essentials I needed to enjoy my time camping around Iceland. In the future I would probably like some type of small heater to keep me warm at night. It is limited to keep the engine running at night since the diesel engine is quite loud. Other than that I would 100% recommend Northbound to my family members who want to see Iceland on a budget in a convenient camper.

Wir waren im September 2024 in Island und hatten einen Dacia Dokker Camper, leider ohne Standheizung. Es war daher sehr kalt und wir würden ein anderes Auto beim nächsten Mal wählen. Das Auto an sich hatte alles was wir brauchten und der Service vor Ort war super. Es war ein Modell, welches schon einige Schäden hatte, was uns allerdings nicht gestört hat. Das einzige Manko waren die Dichtungen, die leider immer wieder rausgefallen sind. Wir würden jederzeit wieder über Northbound ein Auto mieten, da sowohl Buchung und Abgabe problemlos funktionierten. Im Jahr 2022 hatten wir bereits schon einmal hier gebucht, mussten aber aufgrund einer Corona-Erkrankung stonieren, was ohne weiteres nach Abstimmung mit northbound möglich war. Great option for a solo traveller, everything worked fine with no issues. I would recommend the Dacia Dokker if you are travelling alone but probably something bigger if you are a couple or group. Pick up and drop off were simple and easy. The van had everything I needed. Northbound were great for vehicle comparison and I can’t fault them.

It was ok but with one big problem: the chairs where all pulled in front to.make space for the bed and it was impossible for me to drive, since I have long legs. Luckly we had asked for a second driver and my friend could sit there but it was quite unpleseant not to be able to drive. Also we had to wait more than an hour at the Airport to be picked up since the guy of the shuttle didn't take us the first time cause he didn't have my name written down

Overall experience was satisfactory, Pick up at airport was confusing, van was as expected and drop off went smoothly.

The 2019 Dacia Dokker from Cheap Campervans was a great deal and worked well. The one week rental cost less than two taxi trips in Iceland. Pickup from the airport is confusing as you have to find the representative among many others at the airport exit. It is best to phone the booking number once you arrive at the airport exit to confirm a pickup time. Also, Cheap Campervans rents camping gear, so get it all in one place to save time.
