Volcano Huts in Þórsmörk is one of Iceland's most magnificent camping area.

Volcano Huts are located in the Þórsmörk nature reserve in Iceland, situated in the Húsadalur valley, between towering glaciers and volcanoes. Most people visit Þórsmörk for the endless hiking trails, some people choose to go on shorter walks and return to Volcano Hut area in the afternoon. While others may venture deeper into the mountains on their way along the Laugavegur hiking trail, which connects Thorsmörk and the Landmannalaugar area.

The best way to get there is by bus, as you will have to cross big rivers on the way. You can take the bus all the way from Reykjavik or leave your car and hop on board the bus at various stops along the way.
