Excellent

The car was excellent. I know this is probably not the norm, but I loved that it was a manual. You cannot find those in the united states anymore. We had 6 of us in the car for the first two days and it was a bit squished with luggage as the trunk is a little small but after we dropped off some of our party that couldn't stay the whole time we fit perfectly. Lava was pretty smooth except for drop off when we had to wait 25 min for a lift back to the airport. By the time they actually got someone to take us, there were more people then they could fit in the van.

The camper van was great, except the one we received had worn out front tires. We ended getting a flat tire on both of these tires. This added a lot of stress as the flats happened in remote areas. We has to buy a new tire (20.000 ISK) to replace our spare, and we had to visit 3 different garages as nobody had the required size. We drive for two days without a spare. The second flat happened the morning of returning the vehicle, and almost made us miss our flight. Lava should pay better attention to the condition of the vehicles before renting them. No instructions were provided at pick up. We were simply given the key and told were the vehicle was. We had to figure out how to access and change the spare tire ourselves.

The car itself was good (although dead bugs inside car and trash still in it from previous user) and pick up went smoothly. Drop off however was a problem. There was only one member of staff available for all customers which meant that we had a very long wait time in between arriving at the office to getting in the shuttle to go to the airport. This made things very stressful even though we’d allowed enough time based off of previous experience with other companies.

Hello, We very much enjoyed our trip. We rented 2 camper vans for the trip and they where equipped with everything we needed. I do have a couple comments on things that could be improved. The check in was a little slow as there didn't seem to be much staff up front and we were not given a walk around of the vans to be shown how things work, luckily we have used similar equipment and had no problems. It wasn't until we were on the road that we realized the front tires on one of the vans were almost completely without tread which did cause some anxiety. Also check out at the end of our trip was extremely slow as only one person was trying to check in and check out vehicles by himself.

Everything went great! We had no issues with the vehicle and the whole process was very smooth. I thought the price for and EV with free charging and full protection was very reasonable!

Am disappointed that the booked car was not available. We received a Cashkai instead, which is significantly smaller. Only when I made a comment about the rental price difference between those 2 cars, the operator started to check which reduction could be given. Haven't had the time yet to check what I exactly paid after all. Having doubts whether I received a fair price. But will check it later.
