Akranes Camping Ground

Breathtaking landscapes and great for bird watching.

The campsite is located in a beautiful bay, Kalmansvik, on the outskirts of the town Akranes, overlooking a spectacular mountain view to the North with the glacier Snæfellsjökull in all it's glory. There are walking trails all over the area. Good birdwatching area for both land and sea birds. Facilities are good and are well-taken care off, the area is clean and tidy.

This campsite is located only 30-minutes from Reykjavík. There is a bus (57) which heads from Reykjavík to Akranes.
