Harpan

The concert hall and conference center of Reykjavík

Designed by Henning Larsen Architects in co-operation with the artist Ólafur Elíasson, the Harpa structure is beautifully built with steel framework and clad with geometric shaped glass panels of various colors.
Construction began on January 12, 2007 and the opening ceremony was held on May 13th, 2011.
The building is 43 meters tall with 28,000 square meters of floor space.
