Dacia Duster roof tent rental, What a pity to rent gasoline cars a diesel would be more efficient. Vehicle with more than 170,000 kilometers but in good general condition except for the mechanical gearbox which is very tired. However, this must also be considered in relation to the fact that the roof tent was brand New and of very high quality, that the reception and the return by Ring are faultless. The intermediary Northbound was simply brilliant and adorable before and during the rental for technical assistance.

Though my car was switched, overall I had a lovely experience renting from Ring. They were fast, pleasant and easy to work with. I will definitely rent from them again in Iceland. Recommend to all other travelers!

Ok car, but I didn't like it. To many gears. The car asks for gear 6 allready at 65 km/h. Becaue it's diesel I had to shift all the time besides when we drove on roads 80 km/h or higher. Would get used to it eventually I guess, but for a few days on holiday on unfamiliar roads it takes to much attention. Will pick another car next time. Besides my workouts with the gearbox, the car is good. Great customer support from the brothers and staff at Ring.

Our experience was great, we had no problem in renting the car - the guys from Ring were super nice and they gave us a lift from and to the airport and the car was new, working and it had everything we needed. They also provide us with some useful info regarding pay zones and tunnels so that everything could be smooth on our roatrip. I am more than satisfied!

The people I dealt with and the vehicle itself were excellent. It was a great value. My only recommendations would be to send an email about how and where to pick up the vehicle a day or two before the scheduled pick up. Also, it would help if Ring and more or clearer signs showing how to get to their facility.

The vehicle was great and met my expectations. I would highly recommend others to get the same. The only disappointing part that we had with the N1 gas station. For some reason my credit/debit both were not working and we were stuck in a small town (Djúpivogur) at midnight because there was no other gas station available in that location. Also, the helpline was not working either. I called one of the staff from Ring and he also tried to help me with the information I needed but nothing worked. Then I found some people who were sitting outside of the hotel and they helped me with it. Then I had to travel another 90km to reach my destination at midnight 2 am. The road condition was not that good. I am talking about the Öxi Pass that I took accidentally because google sent me to that direction because of the limited time we had. Anyway, the reason I was telling you all these is because if I would have known that my cards won't work in N1 station then I would have prepared for it. It would be better if the staff mention all these before the pick up. Just a warning. It will save both passengers and the vehicle from difficult scenarios. But overall, it was good experience and I am glad that we went with the Northbound deal. :)

We rented a 4x4 Mitsubishi Eclipse for our Iceland tour (May 31-June 07) and it was absolutely amazing. We are 3 people, our 3 luggage of 20kg each fits at the back of the car. At the back seat is spacious, 1person + 3 backpacks + our 2 big paper bags of our food supplies. Renting the car in Northbound compared to other rental car is definitely way more cheap. The customer service replies fast to all my inquiries, thanks for the patience though lol. But please be informed that they are using a 3rd party insurance company (not the same insurance that the actual rental car company is using), hence they will ask you for a deposit of EUR 2,000 which they will refund once you return the car (in good condition). I'm still waiting for my refund but they said it's under process.
