There were 4 adults in the car and I have to praise the spaciousness of the vehicle and sufficient thermal comfort, the ride was pleasant even on worse roads, we managed even smaller fords, we would have appreciated a slightly higher chassis :-). overall satisfaction

As our first time renting a camper van, Northbound offered some reasonably priced options. The idea was to go for a less traditional route anyway, so the provided camping materials along with the rental was cool. Two adults slept comfortably in the van, but three as advertised would have been too tight. My only real complaint is how long we waited for pickup at the Keflavik arrivals area. We were told a driver would be available every 20-30 minutes, and we ended up waiting for more than an hour for a driver to arrive. Once he showed up, the rest was relatively smooth sailing.

Our camper was the Fiat. The condition of the car was perfect, new vehicle, few miles less than 20k, very clean and worked without issue. The van is appointed well. The sleeping area works, mattress is full, and soft. The IKEA bedframe was solid. The dishes and cooking utensils were clean and in good order. The electric system worked great. Hanging a phone at night is a big plus. Really liked the vehicle. The staff was great. Talked on the phone with Eleanor before the rental and she answered all questions. Mateusz was the rental agent, he was fantastic, had some solid advice, very friendly, great smile! Price is comparable. Total cost is appropriate for high season rental and is less than if you rent a car and book hotel stays. Also, the camper is way more flexible and available camping sites were great across Iceland.

Everything went smoothly. We drove the entire ring road in a 48-hour rental (11:00am-11:00am). We actually took highways 939 and 95 as a shortcut through the northeast highlands. It was an AMAZING driving experience. First night in Hofn the second night in Laugarbakka. Thank you for an awesome experience!

This is the second time we've rented from Northbound and found the experience exceptional in every way. We were well greeted and outfitted for our adventure to the Westfjords. Hope to make a return trip in the next couple of years and will use Northbound again for our transportation needs.

Incredibly rude people working for Rent.is who are responsible for filling the Orders under Northbound. At the airport the shuttle driver refused to give me a ride to the office because he said I was “too early” even though there were open spots in the shuttle. So I walked all the way to the rental office, and the shuttle driver was very upset that I showed up early. There were a few helpful people and one allowed my to store my stuff while I walked around Keflavík. Later in the afternoon after we got the camper, we found out that it had not been stocked with the correct items like dishes and stove. Northbound customer support was helpful in fixing this. All in all the camper van was as expected and the trip to Iceland was great, but the rent.is people were the most rude I’ve encountered in all of Iceland.
