Northern Lights Car Rental in Islanda

About the car: it is as good as we expected about. Was clean and appropriated for the journey. Easy and sure to drive. About Northern lights: when we arrived to the airport, October 2nd, 4 PM, nobody from the company was waiting us. We waited half and hour with anguish, so we decided to phone (International fare for us) and somebody answered that the person to pick ups us was on the way, that we have to wait... 20 minutes later, near 5 o'clock, arrived the person. When we asked him the reason of his delay, in a very bad way he said he had been busy... From that moment all the negotiation about the car was tough. He seemed to be hurried and angry. The attention was better when we returned the car. The employee was polite and make everything easy. Nevertheless we will recommend your company, in spite of this incident. Regards Susana Halperin

Renting here was quick and easy. The communication from the members of the company is very good. They were very friendly and made everything so easy. Also, the vehicle was very nice, clean and affordable for what we needed. I would definitely rent from here again.

Our original flight was canceled I sent an email regarding the change. The rental (Northern Lights) apparently did not recieve the message. When we arrived, we had to have the help desk call to have us picked up. The man that transported us from the airport to the car rental location was VERY rushed, did not help with luggage. We had to chase after him.... were instructed to "C'mon, C'mon let's go. Put the bags in ... get in". There was NO conversation on the way. When we arrived, he said "the keys are in it, go!" We went in, signed agreements and left. On returning vehicle, the person who so rudely picked us up from the airport was more conversant, NOT helpful with luggage, but delivered us to the airport alive. The vehicle was less than expected ... never used on "F" roads (I don't think it could handle them ... regardless) The Jimny struggled to make it up most hills, specifically Route 1. However, it did get us to where we wanted to go. So, my rating is judged on personnel related to pickup and drop off.

Everythings was perfect

We booked the car for one week and it was adequate. We were able to use all roads (including F-roads) and there was free WiFi we could use even when we left the car to go for a walk!

We had a great time with in Iceland with one of your Jimny! It brought us safely to all our destinations and even the gravel roads were, thanks to the 4W, not a problem. We would definitely choose northbound again!

Everything was very good. We had not any problem with the car and the tend was very useful. Easy to pick up and return the car.

Had a good experience with the rental. Someone waited for us at the airport and the paperwork sign off went quickly. No issues with the car and the return was smooth as well.
