Konvin Car Rental in Islanda

We had a wonderful trip to Iceland, with this car. The car was good, nice and a fantastic way to see Iceland. Good service and communication about the car.

We had a great experience renting from Konvin via Northbound! The shuttle from the airport was timely and communication was excellent; the car was extremely clean upon pickup; it drove well throughout our time in Iceland; and it provided a great sleeping quarters for our two-week trip in the country. I only have a couple suggestions / areas for improvement: 1) I think there could be some built-in storage on the backside of the main cargo hold / sleeping area, above the "head" of the bed. This area is currently empty space and would make it easier to access belongings. 2) There could be another light (or two) in the inner area/sleeping hold. 3) There could be a small gas burner and fuel canister provided with the cooking supplies to serve as a fuel source and means to cook or heat water. 4) There should be a backup camera. The mirrors don't extend wide enough to adequately see behind, and the lack of access to the rear window makes it a blind reverse. 5) The check-in process upon pickup could be expedited-- there were only two other groups in front of us, but it took nearly 45 minutes to get through both.

Brand new car. We had no problem with getting it or returning it. The employees were nice and polite. The only issue is that they replaced the one of the mirrors with a camera that is directly pointing at you while it was never indicated in the contract. It can also make it hard to go backward with the car because the view of the back window is blocked.

the car was exactly what we asked for and perfect for our trip. the tank could be bigger but hey, that's probably out of your control and there are fuel stations everywhere. some of the zipper on the roof tent were broken when we picked up the car. Nothing dramatic really but since you are looking to improve...

It was a great vehicle, and seamless in getting into our Fiat and on the way.

you need to explain exactly where pick up point is. I waited right after arrival gate because many agency are waiting there. But your guy is waiting another point.

We've received the car in a perfect condition (it was actually brand new with only 60 km on the kilometer count). For us it was the ideal car to cruise through Iceland and also go a little bit off the beaten path.

Overall, we are not satisfied with the service. The main points (some of the may concern you directly) are: 1. We booked a pickup and return at the airport in your web. It resulted that this was not possible and that they provide a shuttle (every hour!) 2. The spare tire was not accessible due to the camperization, and the tool to take off the screws of the tire is not available, so if you have a flat tire, you have to stay on the spot. We had a flat tire twice and if you call out of office hours, they tell you that if you are dying, call emergencies and other wise use social channels and they will get in touch as soon as possible. 3. Is turns out that we did not pay some parkings. The say in a poster at the pickup point that any parking not paid they will charge you with 2500 ISK as management fee (we made a picture if you want it). In the contract says 5.000 ISK and said that it was a mistake and the contract was what they applied. And they charged it for EVERY parking. Fortunately it was only two. Which means that we paid four times more for the management fee than for the pending parkings. All this as we where running late for the plain because we had to go back to their office once we where at the airport. Afterwards they said that they would refund one. Very good price, car was pretty much brand new and super clean. Staff and shuttle drivers were pleasant and personable. Convenient shuttle to and from airport. If I could make suggestion, just have people book shuttle vs having frequency 1hr shuttle intervals, as it’s a quick drive to the airport.
