Konvin Car Rental in Iceland

We loved our van rental. It’s was in perfect condition. The heating was easy to plug in and turn on. The car drove great. The bed in the back was comfy. This van was perfect for or 3 day trip, and was a great price. The only thing I would have liked is better communication prior to coming to Iceland. I would have liked verbal confirmation on time and location of pickup from the airport. We were a bit worried when we arrived because there was no one answering the non-emergent phone number given. I would have loved to speak to someone with confirmation we were getting picked up to get rid of that worry. Everything did go smoothly though with getting picked up and brought straight to the van. Drop off was also very smooth, and we were driven straight to the airport. The gas tank on that van lasted forever. We only had to fill the tank to fill prior to returning it. Konvin employees were very nice and helped tremendously. We will defiantly use Konvin when coming back to Iceland.

The car was in good condition. Shuttle service to and from Airport were good.

The experience with the car I rent was totally satisfying!

The car itself was in perfect condition, it was clean, etc. The experience to get the car was quite bad. I needed to book a transport from the airport to the CarRental office, based on that Konvin Car had an hourly transfer. I was waiting at the airport without any luck, noone showed up at the meeting point they have confirmed. I needed to call them multiple times till someone answered my call and finally took us from the airport to their office. (I was waiting in total 40 mins!!!!) The administrative part of the pick up process was okay, but once I've received the car keys they told me that the car is outside somewhere in the parking lot and I should find it. (there was no light at the parking lot and when I've asked them to guide me to the car they told me that they dont know either where it is, so I should search it myself). Also they said it is important that I check the condition of the car and I took pictures to ensure that there wont be any unjustified claims from previous accidents, which was very very strange and indeed impossible in a parking lot without lights. So car was okay, but the transfer from airport to their office and the car pickup process was shocking.....

The camper van was clean, well equipped, and very capable of supporting our Ring Road trip.

Automatic car easy to drive with good tyres (quite important in Iceland as the road are not always perfect). It will be nice to have a small box available during the night to put some small objects (key car, torch...) easily accessible. Main issue during my stay (10days) was the parking. I don't think I paid everywhere as I couldn't upload the Parka App with my old iPhone, I didn't really understood how to use their site Parka.is (I contacted them, but no reply so far) and most important I couldn't find always another way to pay on the parking with a VISA Card. A better solution should be found (eventually send the bill to the renting company to pass it to the driver). Don't know what is the best solution. On a positive note, I love your country and will be quite happy to come back if I can.

Its a good car for the kind off trip that we made. We where 4 in the car and we felt well on it, all the 8 days trip. i recomend.

Hello. The experience with Konvin and car rental was awesome, we definitely will rent them again! There is some things that should be improved by the company, but the car was perfect!

Bonjour; le Fiat Doblo automatic à tres bien fonctionné, nous n'avons eu aucun problème avec la mecanique de la voiture. Mais les aménagements pourraient être améliorés: la glacière ne tient pas debout, le chauffage fait beaucoup de bruit et chauffe très peu, le jerrican d'eau est difficile d'acces, on peut rajouter des rangements sur les parois de la cabine, sinon le matelas et les duvets sont de bonne qualité.

Van life is the only real way to experience Iceland! Overall we enjoyed the experience enormously, and the van was awesome. We were a bit disappointed in a couple of things: -Picking up the car took forever, because they have one staff member. It delayed us to the point we almost missed our first tour booking. -No instructions were given on the electricity, heating, stove, etc. of the van. -The fuel canister supplied for the gas stove was near empty (it lasted us 2 days out of 11…). This should have been full on pickup. It was a headache to find a replacement canister that fit the stove. -The sleeping bags were tiny - perhaps even child size.

The camper was clean and well maintained. It included everything we needed for our travels. I'd recommend and I'd happily book again. I couldn't fault the service!

The Fiat Doblo Maxi was perfect for our short trip to Iceland. We were only going for about 4 days so we knew we needed a lot of flexibility to go and stop as needed. This van was perfect for doing just that and parking at campsites along the way. It was also a 2024 model so everything was new looking and functioning well. Renting this prevented us from having to be tied down to a certain hotel reservation / a certain area so it was the perfect solution!

Liked: convenient location close to KEH, relatively new vehicle Need to improve: 1. Explanation of how to operate the vehicle; every car is different, may not be familiar with 4x4 operation 2. Preparation of the vehicle was not perfect: Bedding items (mattress and the sheet, sleeping bags, and pillows were not dried well. My friend’s car didn’t have a ladder, though it was kindly delivered to our location, long way. 3. Communication was difficult during the rental days. My questions via email, texting, or your website communication tool were unanswered. Generally, I got good impression about your company and I will do business again if I have a chance.

A splendid time! Our questions beforehand were all kindly answered, amenities were in good working order, and it was a great lil place to call home while we drove the ring road! The cabin heater was awesome but we also slept plenty warm without it at some campsites. Very cozy and quaint, would recommend Konvin fs!

I'm sorry but we had a bad experience. The car broke up due to a mechanical failure which was not our fault and had to pay the road assistance and now they also want to charge us the repair.
