"I booked a 2022 Jeep Renegade through Northbound, with Ice Rental Cars as the local supplier. The booking confirmation and invoice explicitly stated this vehicle class. Upon arrival at Ice Rental, I was told that they didn't even have Jeeps in general and that the listing was essentially just used for "marketing." Baiting customers with specific 4x4 models only to admit they don't exist in the fleet is completely unacceptable and misleading. To make matters worse, the vehicle I was actually given was in incredibly poor condition. The mechanical and cosmetic state of the car was far below acceptable, making the entire rental feel highly overpriced. Northbound needs to properly vet their suppliers, as Ice Rental Cars is using deceptive marketing practices and renting out poorly maintained vehicles. I absolutely do not recommend booking this supplier."

You gave an upgrade because we arrived a day earlier and probably the Subaru had not been returned yet. The Suzuki Vitara was good for the trip with some orange lights on the dashboard at the end. At the location we had to choose to take carinsurance again and roadservice when the car breakes down again. We expected that Northbound would have communicated that ti Icerental 4x4. We paid extra for the services at Icerental 4x4."

"Overall good experience, easy to compare, prices were competitive. Unfortunately the car we selected wasn’t the car we got, the car we did have was reliable however was multiple different shades of blue ( due to damager repairs from previous users). Didn’t cause us any issues obviously but would have preferred something tidier for the price."

I did not order insurance online and thought I would discuss what was right for me when I picked up the car. I was then told that I had to buy the most expensive insurance since I had paid with a debit card when I rented the car. Felt forced to buy expensive insurance that I did not need. At the same time, I paid much more than what was the most expensive offer if I had ordered online. Not easy to stand there in line and discuss this."

Also, the anti-frost system was still on, so I lost half of the water tank before finding the solution (last page of the user guide, which was actually pretty well done because I could find the solution on my own). So maybe be careful about the anti-forst because that was quite a surprise. Lastly, we had issues with the credit card on pick-up and, which I never experienced before. Your insurance payment works actually really differently from what I'm used to in France. Usually the value is locked so we just need the correct amount on the bank account. Solution was found to buy an extra insurance with debit card only, but that was extra cost."
