Icerental 4x4 in Iceland

We did not receive an Opel. W received Fiat with garbage under the seats. Within one hour we had to find an air pump because the tires were under inflated. We went back to Icerental and were told that the warning lights happen all the time on the Fiats. We drove for 6 days with the warnings about tire pressure. We were told that it was safe to drive with the warning lights on. Also the check air bag warning and terrible beeping happened on and off the whole time. The car itself was easy to drive. Would have liked to have less distractions on the dashboard. .

The car was in a really used condition but did its job.

They could not provide us a Jeep but instead a Mitsubishi Cross. The vehicle met our needs so there was no issue. The vehicle was not ready when we arrived so we had to a bit but was not much of a problem. The staff was friendly and helpful and the rental went smoothly. Would recommend to others and will return to rent with Northbound in the future.

Hello, The 4x4 was very good in terms of interior comfort and engine performance. However, the rooftop tent let in rain — there were leaks throughout the tent. Also, the vehicle is quite limited on certain tracks, even though they are listed as accessible in the vehicle description. Apart from that, all the other equipment was great.

It wasn't a Subaru, but a Suzuki S-Cross instead. The car had different scratches and a chip on the front glass, but it behaved okay. Comparing with other rental SUVs on the way, it seemed "old". I can't compare with the Subaru because I never had it before. There was an issue when picking up the car: the company wanted to charge a deposit on the credit card, I had to show the conditions and the booking papers to avoid it. I didn't need to make use of the insurance, but its not clear whether in case of damage I should pay and be refunded, or the insurance would pay the rental company directly. Next time I wish a better integration between Icerental4x4 and Rentalcover.

Felt a bit rushed when picking up and dropping off the car which is understandable as you want to keep the flow of people moving but still. The driver seatbelt wasn’t safe, it was frayed and so the buckle wouldn’t allow for it to move to be tightened, the sidelights were extremely poor (kept getting flashed by locals when they were on). The rear windscreen wiper didn’t even touch the window, not that there was any washer fluid in the car so we couldn’t even clean our windows if we needed to. And the handbrake barely worked and the brakes were quite poor. The steering had way too much play on it and would constantly wobble about to the point that your hands would turn so red from having to grip the steering wheel. While we appreciate you may focus on the newer cars being up to scratch, renting a car that’s in this condition for that price is not acceptable in our eyes.

Voiture très bien tente de toit fonctionelle. Seul problème c'est une voiture hybride donc peu d'autonomie environ 320 km, donc nécessité de faire le plein très souvent.
