Rijo Campers in Iceland

We had an amazing experience with Rijo Campers! The whole experience went very smoothly. Right before our trip we got a text from Paulius, asking about our flights and letting us know he would be picking us up. Paulius was so nice, helpful and responded very quickly to any questions we had. Having a number to text, made the pickup quick and easy at the airport. The van was exactly what was pictured on the website and we really enjoyed our time in it. While on the road, if we ever had any problems or questions, we could text Paulius and he always responded very quickly. This was the best trip ever and I highly recommend Rijo Campers for anyone wanting to enjoy iceland’s ring road!

Rijo Campers was a great and affordable option for camping around Iceland! Clear and quick communication over WhatsApp since we could not call due to no international phone plan, very friendly, was willing to drop us off at our hotel afterwards. Highly recommend!

So glad we chose Rijo Campers! Our Rav 4 was great, comfy, clean, and gave us no issues! Some of our friends rented with another company and their car ended up having tons of issues. The customer service was great as well! So glad we booked with Rijo!

Great size car for us and very nice rooftent. Overall superhappy with the whole experience and would do it again!

Hi, Overall was OK. The thing is, I was expecting to have a camper van. Instead, I got a Duster with a mat. So I feel like paying double price of regular Dacia Duster rental price (800€) just for having a mat, and that feels somehow disappointing. All the rest was great and I appreciate reaching out.

Bonjour Ívar, Notre séjour c’est très bien passé. Le véhicule est très bien pour 2 personnes, facile à conduire. Je ne verrai que 2 améliorations. Une casserole plus grande pour le repas et un câble électrique plus long (nous avons dû changer d’emplacement plusieurs fois dans les campings car nous n’avions pas accès aux bornes électriques). everything perfect!!!! very kind and helpful. I had asked to be picked up in the city, Rijo camper instead delivered me the same day of my arrival, picking me up at the airport and assigning me the camper one day before, all for free.

We are satisfied with the experience with Rijo. The minivan was exactly what we had chosen, new, clean, ran well and comfortable to drive. The staff at Rijo Campers were always in communication with us and available. The pick-up service to and from the airport was helpful.

we spent one full. week in iceland. our 14 year old son, my wife and i. we rented the camper.for traveling all around the island. everything was super. campings were easy to find, the space in the van was perfect for 3. paulo explained everything before starting our journey. and was always there in case we meed it him for help. the van was perfect for the trip.

The camper van was well equipped for the three of us. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a great way to see Iceland and afforded lots of flexibility to go where and when we wanted. We felt it was a good deal.

Our trip was fantastic! This vehicle was just what we needed to travel freely while not being too bulky on the road. For lunch, we could prepare our picnics and eat inside in case of bad weather, or take out the table and chairs when the weather was nice. In the evening, we mainly used the sanitary facilities of the campsites and could sleep in the fairly comfortable bunks of the vehicle. Paulius was always very responsive when we had questions, we always felt safe during our tour of Iceland on sometimes very isolated roads. All this allowed us to make the most of our trip: landscapes, birds, hikes, museums, meetings... Iceland is a superb country that we did not know yet. We may come back in winter for the northern lights!

Rijo Campers was great! 5star. I would always book them again.

The vehicle was in good working order. The heater and refrigerator both worked well. We were surprised to find out there was an additional fee to wash the van on the return. We were told about this when we picked it up. Another surprise was a toll fine for a tunnel we went thru with an additional 30 euro service fee. They should tell people about this toll so that we would be aware we needed to pay this online. We had no idea there was a toll. Overall the communication with Paulius was excellent and the van was clean.

It was very good. Big enough for two persons. Separat batterie works well, so the heater was fine. Sometimes the electric menu was not simply to unterstand or it turns to its own modus and you can’t see the charging level. The mattress was a little bit different in its softness of the single parts (so it works of course to switch to the seats). Some hooks or subjects would be fine. Communication with mobile, pick-up and drop off worked perfectly. The price on Iceland is everywhere for everything very expensive in general.

(DANGER).Realizamos en torno 5 o 6 viajes al año y jamas encontré una empresa tan mala como rijo campers. El buscador de northbound y su atención son fantásticas, no entiendo como en su buscador, puede estar una empresa como rijo campers. Resumen. 1. No nos recogieron del aeropuerto. Al salir, las empresas te esperan con un cartel.después de esperar casi una hora,en que nos recogieran, pese a que tenían información de la hora de llegada. 2. Se recogió la camper, en un descampado,totalmente a oscuras. Tuvimos k iluminar la camper con el móvil, para buscar desperfectos( cuidado con este detalle). 3. Frigorífico, calefacción y todo lo eléctrico. Descargado, solo funciona si lo enchufas a la red. 4. Sin agua en los depósitos. 5.al devolver la camper, el Tecnico. Se mete debajo del vehículo y dice que falta una tapa de plástico. La cual podría haberse caído,al estar floja o simplemente no estar. Quien se mete debajo de un vehículo de alquiler, para comprobar que faltan piezas?? 6. Nos cobran 850 eur.por una tapa de plástico, k posiblemente ni estaba. 7. Solicitamos factura, con gastos detallados y hoja de reclamaciones. Por supuesto se niegan, dicen k no tienen. 8. Solicitamos presencia de policía para denunciar. Empiezan a perder tiempo, como sea. Ya que saben que perdemos el vuelo. RESUMEN!! Cuidado es una estafa, el tema esta en la oficina del consumidor europeo.

We had a terrific time travelling around Island. The vehicle was fine, well equipped. I was just a bit surprised by the fee we had to pay for not bringing the vehicle washed, but this is nothing compared to the pleasure we had visiting the island and enjoying its beauty. Gilles Macarie.

It was great!

The car was excellent to go off road, but the owner was not clear enough about the state of return. Therefore we had to pay additional costs. This is never happened before in my 15 years of experience with rentals

Good car supplied in excellent condition. I was less keen on the automatic "intelligent" 4WD system of the RAV4 but this is an issue with the car design, not the particular one supplied.

Great people to deal with. Easy to get hold of when we couldn't understand how the heating system worked. Thoroughly recommended.
