Black Sheep Campers in Iceland

Enjoyed my time with this vehicle, reliable, no mechanical issues encountered. Camping equipment: the heater provided didn’t seem to be working as it should. The device seems to only blow at maximum heat regardless of what level you choose on the dial. The electrical cords provided were all in a tangle when I got the car, it’s a minor issue but it goes a long way in experience. Trying to untangle cords in the dark, cold night is not fun The charger provided in the cigarette lighter doesn’t work well, would cut in and out periodically. can’t verify if it’s caused by the charger or the port itself Marketing: If i recall correctly the camper was marketed with the capability of accommodating 2 adults and a child. Realistically it can only accommodate one person, I would imagine two adults with their luggages and camping equipment being be a very uncomfortable experience. Overall I still enjoyed my time

Great car for driving in any weather. Comfortable sleeping in the back with all accessories provided. Easy check in and check out. We recommend it

It was nice enough for a short trip ! We stayed for 5 nights and didnt need to turn on the heater. It's a nice car to drive ans what WE needed to travel the Islandic roads.

The vehicle was great and perfect for what we needed. It was cozy when we slept and a great size for parking and driving around town.

Really good system of picking up the vehicle, HOWEVER, when you are choosing pickup from Keflavik Airport, it is a little misleading as they actually have the vehicle an hour away in Reykjavik. They send you the bus tickets in advance to get from the airport to the bus shuttle site (where the car is parked). Some points about the Dacia Duster - You NEED the heating system in the car and will need electricity every night if you are planning on sleeping in the car, just something to keep in mind. Customer service is responsive and quick which is good.

This was the perfect vehicle for my trip! The equipment supplied was all I needed - sleeping bag was cozy for autumn weather, the camp set had everything I needed. A very good choice for an amazing trip.

All good and went very smooth

The car overall handled great. Plenty of space in the vehicle and even though I planned on camping a few nights, I actually ended up not (just changed my mind). But if I had, the equipment they provided would have been great. The company's staff at Black Sheep Campers went above and beyond helping me and making sure all my questions were answered. My only suggestions would be the follow- please leave a tire pressure gauge tool in the glovebox, please make sure any sensor notifications/issues on the car have been addressed before renting out the vehicle (I know this can be costly or sometimes it just happens). The tire pressure sensor was on from the moment I turned the car on upon first entering the vehicle on 8/20/24. I did call/text and speak with the staff to let them know. The tires were fine the whole trip, but it just made me a little paranoid on my first day driving the car in a foreign country.

The vehicle was great and worked well for off roading and it was very efficient to use. There were a few glitches in the beginning of our trip with certain vehicle indicators that needed to turned off but we managed to figure this out eventually with the help of Google and YouTube. The provision of a vehicle manual in English would have been nice. There were two manuals provided but both written in Icelandic. Also there was a major equipment piece missing and this wasn’t noticed until partway through our trip. This was acknowledged quickly by BS customer service through email and they were willing to accept responsibility with no hesitation. My only recommendation would to have a person greet us when picking up and dropping off the vehicle to go over any issues with the vehicle and equipment and to ensure everything was in working order and also to explain a few things about the vehicle and what was needed (eg: adding the diesel blue fluid when indicator light was on). Otherwise we had no other issues and it was a pleasure using this vehicle for our Iceland adventure.
