Auto mělo najeto přes 300 000 km, totálně sjeté gumy, nefungovalo vyhřívání sedaldla,… Obsluha nemela čas na řádné předání auta s nějakým komentářem ke stavu vozidla nebo jiným náležitostem. Az na místě jsme se dozvěděli, že “zero policy” nekryje základní poškozeni jako případné proražení pneu, což je na islandských cestách celkem běžné, takže to není nulová odpovědnost a pres 10 000 kč navíc. Také bychom ocenili při výběru pojištění lépe rozepsáno, co co znamená a jaké možnosti pojištění daná půjčovna nabízí ( ne jen basic a zero policy).

Unfortunately I had a terrible experience with this rental that ruined my trip, and will affect me for months. The roof tent being held on by glue and plastic bolts in one of the windiest places on earth seems crazy to me. Naturally, the wind ripped the tent off, and even though I paid for platinum insurance, I was charged $4,700 USD for it, which is more than the cost of my entire trip. I’ve been looking forward to this trip my entire life, and my experience with this rental ruined it.

Overall we are quite happy with rental from Icerental 4x4 and car served us very well during our 2 weeks trip. A couple of things to be aware: 1. we had to wait for almost an hour for the agent to pick us up at the airport. Given they was no sign or communication, it was not ideal. Otherwise both pickup and drop off were fast and easy. 2. Because we bought car insurance elsewhere, we had to pay 2,500$ deposit. It was not a problem for us and we got money back about a week after we returned the car. But for many people that's beyond their credit limit and they were forced to buy a minimum insurance from the rental company.

The service was good and friendly, but the condition of the car could be better. We couldn't open the windows, the fuel cap kept getting stuck and when it was too cold we couldn't open the car because the key no longer worked and the keyhole was also broken.

Nice people, great car. Not exactly the car I reserved but very similar (got a Suzuki instead of Toyota). The automatic tailgate door would not close, had to push it by hand every time, but OK. The car performed very well on the f-roads, which was essential. At the pick up: making sure everyone can follow you at your pace would be nice. At the drop off: better help with loading luggage into the van will be appreciated. Overall: will use again and will recommend!

Tutto ottimo. Gli operatori ci hanno spiegato tutto. La.macchina disponibile era più vecchia di quella inizialmente prenotata (era del.2020 invece che 2023) e su richiesta ci hanno fatto upgrade, con una mitsubisci. Ho fatto assicurazione platinum (che consiglio) e non ho avuto alcun problema.

Hey there, don't mind the condition of the vehicule part, the Suzuki was bit busted up, but honestly, very on par with the theme of our trip, and we really didn't mind. It's actually very nice to have a vehicle with personality, as we say. Thanks for the trip!
