Dalvík

The main village of the Dalvíkurbyggð municipality.
Dalvík is a small village in the north of Iceland with a population of approx. 1400 people. The town harbour serves as a regional commercial port for important and the fishing industry as well providing ferry rides to the island of Grímsey.
In August the town hosts the annual festival Fiskidagurinn Mikli, or the Great Fish Day, which draws guests from all over the country.
