Drangey

A remnant of a 700 thousand year old volcano
Bird life is lively in Drangey, Puffins are frequently sighted here.

Fun facts/Mythology:

An old legend tells of two giants prowling in the night with their cow when they were surprised by the light of the sun. Daylight turned them all three into stone and Drangey represents their cow, Kerling (to the south of the island) represents the lady giant and Karl representing the man-giant. Karl has now disappeared because of tide breaks.

In the old stories of Iceland, Grettir of Grettis saga, was outlawed and stayed on the island for the remainder of his days before being assassinated on his deathbed.
