Grænavatn
Grænavatn or 'Green Lake' is a small lake south of Seltún.
This lake got its name from its unique green colour. The colour comes from a high level of sulphur within the water.
The lake is rather small, and should take around 20 minutes to walk around. However, for a small the lake the depth is unusually deep: Roughly around 45 metres.
The lake is the subject of folklore stories, including in the 16th century a strange creature was seen leaving the lake!
