Gullfoss

The famous waterfall at the center of the Golden Circle tourist route.
Gullfoss is a cataract waterfall in south Iceland and one of three main attractions in the Golden Circle tourist route. The waterfall flows down in a wide staircase and then plunges 11 and then 21 meters into a deep crevice.
The flow rate is approximately 140 m³/s during the summer and 80 m³/s during winter. The highest flood ever measured was 2000 m³/s.
