Vatnajökull
One of the largest ice caps in Europe.
Vatnajökull is the largest and most voluminous ice cap in Iceland and the second largest in Europe. It covers more than 8 percent of the country and is located in the south.
Beneath the ice cap rest several volcanoes such as Grímsvötn and Bárðarbunga.
