"Very easy, they took us at the arrival. We waited just a little, after pandong, but then everything was very easy. Little explanation that helped us as campers beginners, but they give us also a video wich explaines everything."

"The experience with mcrent was phenomenal. Great motorcar , well managed and new vehicles . I will never book with northbound anagain . I was stranded at the airport for 2 hours with 2 kids as they had failed to inform mcrent about airport pickup"

"We had an amazing trip! We would highly recommend renting your campervan here! They made the process easy! It’s a trip of a lifetime!"

"Our RV was changed to a Lux 600. This car was older than what we specifically reserved. We called out multiple maintenance issues including kitchen faucett being broken, engine and oil change lights being on. We believe because the RV reserved was specifically year 2025 or newer, our price should be adjusted."

"Hello Northbound Team, I hope you are well. I loved Islandia and enjoyed the motorhome. However, during the trip, as recommended by Motorhome.is, I took the vehicle to have the water pump repaired at the mechanic shop they indicated and paid for the repair. They told me the payment would be reimbursed. I sent them the payment receipt and am waiting for further information regarding the reimbursement. Aside from this incident, I really enjoyed the motorhome and the service and intend to highlight this as a positive aspect of my trip in the review after my reimbursement is processed. Sincerely,"

"The Fiat we had seems to be much older then a 2020. Couldn't have the information of the exact year. We had a problem with the draining of the pipe. The drain of the shower didn't work properly so we could not use the shower and the kitchen sink was mostly draining in the shower. We addressed the situation at Rv Iceland. They ask us to go at a garage not far from where we were. The problem seemed to be fix but came back the next shower. We finally meet at a campground on the 5th day with RV Iceland and change the RV. After that, no problem. They're response to our problem finally went ok."

"Hi all, please can you check the car, I lost my (brown) money booster with a picture of the children and I think this one is in the top cabinet on the left above the table. If it is there, are you able to send this to me? Please give me your feedback. BR Roland Berg"

"Just perfect!"
"Summary of the events When we collected the vehicle on 5 August 2026, a warning message stating “Insufficient engine oil pressure” was displayed on the dashboard. We immediately reported this warning to your staff. We were told that it was not an actual problem and that we could continue our trip as normal. We would like to emphasise that this warning, which was present from the moment the vehicle was handed over to us and dismissed by your staff, suggests that a problem affecting the vehicle may already have been detectable before the breakdown that occurred four days later. On 9 August, at approximately 11:00 a.m., the motorhome broke down and became unusable. A first mechanic arrived at approximately 6:00 p.m., but he did not have a tow truck and was unable to repair the vehicle or make it roadworthy again. We were therefore forced to spend the night there, on the side of an isolated road with our three children, unable to continue our journey or reach suitable accommodation. This situation was particularly uncomfortable and concerning for our family. On 10 August, at approximately 2:00 p.m., a second recovery vehicle finally arrived and transported the motorhome to a campsite in Egilsstaðir. While waiting for a solution from Geysir Motorhome company, we were forced to remain there and cover the costs associated with this unexpected stay. On 11 August, as no effective replacement solution had yet been provided, we decided to rent a first car at our own expense so that we could at least continue part of our journey and minimise the further loss of our holiday. We subsequently returned this car because, based on our discussions with Geysir Motorhome, we believed that a replacement solution would be arranged shortly. On 12 August, despite our various exchanges with you, we still did not have a replacement motorhome that would allow us to resume our trip normally. We therefore remained stranded in Egilsstaðir and had to spend another night there. On 13 August, as we still did not have a solution allowing Geysir Motorhome to continue our planned itinerary, we rented a second car, once again at our own expense, in order to continue travelling towards Keflavík. We also had to book accommodation because we could no longer use the motorhome as originally planned. Only later was Geysir Motorhome finally able to offer us a replacement vehicle located in Akureyri. We therefore had to travel there using the rental car that we had already been forced to arrange and pay for ourselves. Losses and inconvenience suffered This breakdown and the lack of a sufficiently prompt replacement solution seriously disrupted our trip. In particular, we suffered: * 5 days of immobilisation during a 14-day rental period, meaning that we only had 9 days of effective use of a functioning vehicle; * a significant loss of holiday time; * a forced change to our planned itinerary; * the inability to complete several planned visits and activities, including Húsavík and a whale-watching excursion, as well as Grundarfjörður; * additional costs for campsite fees, rental vehicles and accommodation; * a night spent on the side of an isolated road with our three children in particularly difficult circumstances; * more generally, a significant loss of enjoyment of the rental, as we were unable to benefit fully from the service for which we had paid. We would also point out that providing a vehicle in proper working condition is one of the essential obligations under a rental agreement. For several days, we were clearly unable to receive the service corresponding to the amount we had paid."

"Great experience with this vehicle! Perfect size for a family of 4 (16+). Everything worked well. It took a few days to figure out how to best heat the water for showers so the first days were cold, a good strategy is to heat overnight and shower in the morning. We purchased the coffee maker but never used it, instant coffee worked just as good from the grocery store, consider saving $ and pass on it. Our camping table was missing a leg extension so be sure to check if you get the set. I would recommend this company if you are traveling to Iceland for the first time, good prices and reliable service. We did have a check engine light come on and halfway through our trip had to make a quick 30 minute stop in the town we passed through for them to assess. No problem. Overall, the camper is big but easily maneuverable for driving. It is manual transmission so both those need to be taken into consideration when driving. I ended up driving the entire ring road even though I paid for a second driver (another cost to consider if you want to save $). In the end, you have to be a confident and relaxing driver. The mph on the highway is only 55 so easy to handle."

"We a wonderful time in Iceland travelling around in the campervan from RV Iceland. Apart from an initial problem with the power cord not fitting, luckily, we had not traveled far in order to go back and get this rectified the first evening. Otherwise, our experience was very good."
