I am not a big fan of Orange Rental Cars. After the initial booking, there was zero communication, no email reminders and the instructions on when/where/how to get the car was in small print at the bottom of the confirmation. We ended up at the wrong agency and while the Orange shuttle driver was absolutely awesome, the guy that checked us in and out was super sarcastic, rude and basically told us we were idiots for getting confused but not in so many words. Car brakes were squeaky but they dismissed us when we told them. Car was fine and price was good though! THIS RATING IS ON ORANGE RENTAL CAR NOT ON NORTHBOUND!

Good

Overall, ok experience. Had some snags with insurance coverage issues. In order for my insurance coverage to be allowed, had to deny your coverage but that meant I had to provide a credit card with more than 35,000 of available credit which we did not have. Had to call back to our credit card company while standing at your counter to talk to them and work through the issue. Took a long time to solve the issue. It would be nice if you can offer more comprehensive insurance too, converting windows, tires and wind damage. Otherwise good rental.

Good in general, first of all we had a Hyunday I20, not a Nissan. At the end of our journey when we took the car back at your office our tank was not full. The man that was checking the tank level told us is a petrol station very near to make up the tank. Thinking is not enough time for airport transfer to catch the plain we've agreed with him to pay the amount for few liter fuel missing. Don't you think the amount we've been charged (£36.94) is a bit overrated as we made the full in Reykjavik, driving roughly 50 km to your office, that car's consumption being around 6/100 km?

Outstanding!

Honestly, reading reviews on several Iceland car rental companies had me worried. Orange Car Rental had great reviews and unbeatable prices. I have nothing but good things to say about our rental. It was quick, convienent, exactly what was expected and with no issues. Thank you Orange Car Rental. I will be using you again on my next visit.

Excellent

It was very good, the support was excellent and price was unbeatable. However, the car had a loose lightbulb (backlight) at the start, which made us wait for around 30min to be fixed. Also, while I booked drop off at 20:00 on the site, locally they said we have to return the car before 18:00 because it's a Sunday.

Perfect!!! We got a great deal on an 8 day rental that came with GPS (very necessary). The car was perfect for the road trip we took around the entirety of Iceland and the company provided a shuttle that took us between the airport and rental agency both when picking up and dropping off the vehicle. Northbound/Orange Car Rental made our road trip easy and I highly recommend booking though them if you want a deal on a reliable car in Iceland.

Outstanding!

The Dacia Logan was a great car that handled well in the snow and ice. The heated seats were great to have in Iceland and we appreciated the built in GPS. Although it was not all wheel drive, the front wheel drive was sufficient and we never had an issue, even when we had to park in lots that had lots of snow piled up the Dacia Logan did fine. Orange Car Rental provided good service. We had a little confusion trying to find the shuttle bus at the airport, but eventually we went to the information desk and they told us that a Orange Car Rental representative would be there soon and sure enough they were. Our first Dacia Logan had a bad battery, but they quickly gave us another car that worked fine. Overall good experience!
